I love more Fellaini everytime he has a good game and it gets under someone's skin

what if fellaini is our new striker now for the next few games ahead of falcao or whoever?!

I'd imagine the whole world will implode and be sucked into a blackhole and we'll look very silly for not agreeing with you about this match.

I'd give Van Gaal credit if this was a once off tactical change to get the job done but we've been playing like this pretty much all season minus Fellaini up front and it looks completely one dimensional most of the time against Premier League teams

Couldn't disagree with u more. United have passed the ball around well tonight and landed in some decent crosses albeit against weak opposition but the reason the are weak because united mixed it up. Yhh united have been dodgy this season but they are still third in table and finding there feet.

Been a bit of match thread posting in here tonight. Lads, take it to the match thread, please.

    While I'm here and posting...

fellaini up front for Manchester United, how we have fallen. and utd fans slagged liverpool when they launched balls up to andy carroll

Can't help you're fast approaching a line with regards soapboxing on this. You've been continually posting the same post over and over, choosing to ignore (and barely even acknowledge) the other side of whats happening, as if you're intent is to push your opinion to a disruptive degree.

Obviously, you're entitled to your opinion, but if you're going to border on spamming it to a disruptive level, especially in a way where it might come across as if you're on the wind up, then we're going to have a serious talk about it....

EDIT: And for others, drop accusations of re-regs or whatever. It's against TOS.

Would this be good enough to mount a title challenge next season ?

    De Gea
    Clyne-Hummels-Rojo-Shaw
    --Blind or Carrick---Pogba---Di Maria-
    Mata

    Rvp or Falcao
    Rooney

It would be, except for the fact if those 11 were picked together you would have Carrick playing as the 3rd cb, rooney and mata in center mid, pogba playing cam for his strength and di maria at nothing up front.

yes very good, but hard to judge him properly against the quality of opposition

If there's no room for Rooney up front he may just be sold. He's absolute dirt in midfield, seriously, you would be better off with Darron Gibson back in there.

Oposition isn't everything, if he can deliver accurate crosses consistantly their is absolutely no reason to say he can't do the same against top opposition

    Very impressed with him tonight

yes its a crazy decision to keep playing him there, surely between giggs and lvg they can see this?

Would agree with this; he's had little to no defensive work tonight.

yea sorry, i just meant for him defending, to see how he would be if he had a good player attacking him etc

Lots of positive performances from the players despite the positions and formation played

McNair and Fellaini the pick of the bunch

Rooney tries too hard to be scholes. If he can cut it out and do the simple things right he would be good.

He had good attributes that suit midfield apart from his can't believe it's not scholes skills

The reason they are weak is because they are in fact a very weak team. No point calling it any different.

He does have good defensive attributes also, just needs experience. Only negative may be that he might lack the required pace for a rb when under pressure but no harm in giving him a shot. Again his crossing is very accurate

Good solid win and hopefully we see a similar result the weekend, its a game we should be winning comfortably and probably should have won in the away tie but its nice to know that the replay will do great things for the club with the money they will earn out of it and hopefully improve the club for the future

It's very pleasing to see academy players like Wilson and McNair excel even given the poor opposition. Two players who could be at this club for a long time to come.

Missed the first half and the second was tedious to watch. Van gaal is too clever at times, it's Cambridge for Christ sake.

Credit where it's due to McNair. But West Ham away would be too soon to give him a go at RB against PL opposition.

But I'm pleased for him and he has by and large impressed me all season.

There was someone walking back with him, they just walked along the front of the stand rather than going up onto the pitch side.

I'm fully expecting us to go back to 5 at the back against West Ham. Especially now that Youngs back.

Ok I probably didn't explain it very well. I mean that a weak time like Cambridge or mk dons etc etc can come to a place like united and win and look a good side if you don't turn up and play the game right. United took them for granted last week they had no back up plan but tonight they mixed it up and attacked threw different angels.

I reckon he just went for a shower instead of sitting in the cold. It is freezing here.

BBC have possession at 68% ... it seemed much more then that - seemed just relentless for the vast majority of the game.

BTW why the fúck do all the TV channels/papers constantly do this "United starting team worth £230m.."... they never do it with City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Pool etc. ... its like everyone is allowed to spend money no problem except us. Wish they would just fúck right off..
