Allergen information is statutory now, so they better get their act together or they'll be in breach and get fined.

Yeah. Crazy how a new place could open without it. I thought gluten free diets were all the rage with the hipster crowd they're going for... I just have to avoid it as it makes me feel like I've eaten a jagged metal Krusty-O

I actually have a detailed copy of their allergen menu in my inbox :p Was sent it on my somebody with a serious allergy before I went as I don't think the main menu was easily accessible then.

Bizarre they didn't have it to hand, but it definitely does exist!

Are they not giving out the tokens anymore and it's now 50c to play or am i getting the wrong end of the stick here?

Apparently they're waiting on a fresh batch of Tokens and they're temporarily on 50c coins in the meantime.

The only one I was given that mentions allergens is the one that lists the platters, but it's contradicted by what they tell you when you get there. They use flour tortillas instead of corn.

Corn is friendly to those with a gluten sensitivity. It's also traditionally how tortillas are supposed to be made.

Also, no point in piling half a plate high with delicious gluten free food if the plate is also half piled with normal food, all touching and stuff.

Had to be super careful as there were also vegan platters there which are pretty much just pure gluten!

Then they shouldn't be charging full prices if they're not capable of delivering a full service. Zero apology or offer of refund.

No other restuarant would dream of opening with this sort of 'But it's my first day' attitude.

Being a gaming based bar, I'm surprised they havent just printed up a sign saying "Early Access" and stuck it over the door.;)

All I need in there is 2 & 1/2 pints, a choc ice and a discman with 800mb of thrash metal. There will be more knockers going off in there than a front door show room!

Been listening to The Last Guardian soundtrack with a few beers most of the night, its a beautiful piece of work. Hairs stand up on my neck when those strings kick in, amazing.

That game has moments that do the same, emotional triggers during gameplay, in the background with the creature, as the story is being told, certainly in the final act as it all slots into place and I certainly felt ill, sorrow and elation in quick succession

Interesting article in The Times on a "new genre of game, the literary one"
    http://thetimes.co.uk/article/2f23a708-6357-11e7-b6f8-8145f3f5d431
But it seems to me that they missed the genesis (pun intended), while historically games as art has been debated and derided more recently there can be no real arguement with such releases as Fire Watch, Everyone's gone to the Rapture and Amnesia, to name a few.
Even in the earliest eras of gaming, The Hobbit and early D&D based games had their roots in either published stories or encouraged the person to "make their own adventure", to steal a successful sub title.

    I did :o

I'm tempted to buy it myself that would mean having to build a gaming pc from scratch minus an SSD. And i know I'd be better off waiting for black friday bargains.

I'm kinda torn at the moment!

Anyone watching the new netflix Castlevania?

It's actually...not bad! Just finished the first episode and about to crack into the second.

Yep. I like it. But it feels like they just made an animated movie and awkwardly cut it into four episodes as they thought more people would watch it that way.

Lol, good man! 'Virtually' impossible to turn down at that price. Tell you what, when you're up and running we'll sort out some Bridge Crew goodness.

I'm taking the blue pill (choosing vr over reality lol), and you're about to ascend (no longer a console peasant :O)!

Just got an email from photobucket saying that my account has been frozen because of 'excessive linking to 3rd party sites'. (Such as embedding images on boards.ie) and nothing I've linked will work until I sign up for a subscription.

I thought 'feck it, sure I might as well sign up for the paid for version due to the amount I use it, will probably only be a few quid monthly' - then saw the price, $399 a year???

Well there goes all the photos in my posts over the last decade. :(

Pretty mind boggling. I thought maybe I was wrong and one of the cheaper options allows you to use IMG tags, but no, it's only the $40 a month option

    ollie's cheap workaround :
Create a dummy public facebook page, post the photos there, right click and get the photo url .
