    My car, my kindle, my tablet, and my wake-up light alarm. I use them every day and get great pleasure or convenience from all of them.

    My alarm clock.

    I've had it since 1998. I'm an completely lost if I ever forget to it away with me.

    I think I bought it in Canada for about $15.

    Something like this in black for £60 from pediwear about six years ago.
    Shiny black that seldom needs to be polished, and the soles haven't work a bit.

    The Macbook Pro I got in 2006, got seven years of heavy use out of it. Went through four chargers in that time, and by the end the DVD drive had died, but it was still chugging on.

    A heavy thick mahogany chopping board that I bought as a young bride several decades ago and still use every day; also a carbon steel cooks knife to use ON it
    I've had several of the latter but this one was got around 15 years ago and sharpens to a lethal sliver that would draw blood from the North wind;
    for cooking, I hardly need any more equipment than these and they last and last. I bought good quality stuff [not luxury grade] and it just gives great service every day.

    My Sharp Optonica SM-4646 vintage amp, replaced a more modern amp recently and boy is it a well kept secret from the past, the sound is just superb for the price...
    Anyone into their HiFi should try and have a listen the sound is amazing from it.
    Listening to it right now as I type this :-)
