Anyone thinking of bringing in a Spurs defender? They have a good run of games and kept a few clean sheets at the beginning of the year but have had tough fixtures recently.

I'd love to, but just don't have the transfers, or the money for that matter. I'll probably aim to do that in about 2 weeks.

Ryan Taylor is in the squad for Newcastle this weekend. In case you can't remember, he's been out injured for two years. Scored 117 points in his last full season in 2011/12.

Interesting to note that he's mislabelled on the FF site. He's primarily a midfielder, but is listed as a defender... so if you're after a 2-5-3 formation, that could be your way in for only 4.4 snots.

He means with an OOP player I'd imagine, i.e. one of your 'defenders' is in reality a mid.

I'm going into this GW with doubts over ADM, Costa, Bardsley and Marney. And will be playing De Gea, PVA and Moore in defence. While Coloccini could be my only sub away to Spurs.

It's going to be a rough weekend but I refuse to take a hit for a defender with a WC potentially imminent (should be my new catchphrase)

For someone so high up, why do you still have De Gea and the money that comes with being tied up in him? :pac:

Because I haven't played my WC and well last week anyway thought he could get a cleanie against West Brom. It's plausible it could be 0-0 this weekend but yeah I'm looking to get rid when I can, probably to Lloris.

Well, we should wait til Sunday to declare Costa a success. But this is quite a 'phew' moment.

    Onwards to GW9! :pac:

ADM fit, so Tomkins to Baines as my second FT done. I don't really care at this point if Costa starts or not, although a Pelle blank might change that.

    Naisnith out pelle in

Still sitting with two FTs and none the wiser what to do with them. Something tells me that will still be the case at 11.30 tomorrow morning.

To spoiled for choice, can get in Hazard, Sanchez, Eriksen but it's the fear of letting go of anyone that's holding me back.....

Get Benteke. Away to QPR. Less than 10k own him. Let me live my dreams through others :)

2 FT and I've decided on azpilcueta and ward prowse out for Boyd and kaboul.

Azpi is out for 2 games and then has Liverpool away so I can"t afford to leave him in. As posted by a few on here spurs have nice fixtures and kaboul seems fairly nailed on.

With doubts over Costa I can't have an injured JWP on the bench and bringing in Boyd allows me to free up an extra 0.5m which will let me do Silva -> ADM when United's fixtures ease up. Not having ADM has been my biggest mistake so far this season.

Mannone gets a one week stay of execution. Arsenal aren't in top form so hopefully he won't conceded 8 again!

My team is in decent shape and still have the WC if I need it. Didn't plan on keeping it this long but haven't really had the time to activate it and I also haven't really badly needed it any week.

Marney out for obertan. Have two FT, so a minor change.

I think I'm going to go and do Baines and Tadic in for Clyne and Sterling.
Next week I'll do Foster in for Fabianski. The I'll have 0.8 itb.

I'm loath to get rid of Clyne but I figure after their next 4 games I'll be dropping him anyway. I might as well take my 0.2 profit on him and move on now.

I can't wait for tomorrow morning when I can put the transfer saga that was the past week behind me.

    All done.

Elmohamady out - Boyd in to get some cash ( should have listened to the advice that there is no point to spend 0.5 more for a player who is on a bench (almost) all the time.

DiMaria out - Sanchez in - a risky one but I have a good feeling about this transfer.

Good to see people are taking hits to bring Aguero in for Costa btw.
    Every little helps.

Sorry. No way I'm selling Costa. This week's Parlance has yet to emerge.....

An awful lot of people getting rid of di Maria for the wrong reasons, imo. I know he was flagged this gw, but he has been the one shining light in utds attack.

If Falcao, RvP etc get their act together, his point hauls will go through the roof from frees, corners and crosses.

Nearly got him a couple of weeks ago myself when I heard he was coming back. Thought he'd be a mighty differential and I;d make a fortune out of him.

    Went and got Pelle instead.

    Phew!

I just felt Arsenal and Sunderland have something to prove in their game - hoping for a very open game and few goals - Sanchez will be involved if that happens.

RVP is out of form, ADM won't win a game himself. He is a great player, and definitely the best performer in United at this moment.

My not so educated guess is that Sanchez will outscore ADM this week and next week, too.

It wasn't something I had to do, but I felt I needed to do something different to make my gameweek a little more interesting.

No. I've had him for 6 weeks. I'm taking my profit now. I certainly hadn't earmarked the next 4 fixtures as a reason for getting Clyne when I bought him........
