Good match down in Midleton last evening, Killeagh really put it up to Erins Own, at 1-9 each Killeagh should have kicked on,but down to 14 men it was always going to be difficult. In fairness Erins own were expected to have this one handy, but until about 10 minutes left, they were struggling. Douglas will have their work cut out against Killeagh although the "shock "factor will be gone..

Tomas O Se put it right on Sunday Game, Cork are all over the place . We need a outsider to come in and manage our team, who has no ties to clubs or County Board. Look at the pool of players in the county.Tipp and any other County will have no fear of Cork this year.

15 sheep being let loose in a field......he had it spot on.

Cleary is probably the best man for the job I think. But the CB would not like that.

Our current management, while clearly good gaa men, are equally clearly out of their depth.

For a couple of years I have banged the drum in relation to the footballers, management and cb fiasco.

We are currently an absolute joke and have been for some time and dare I say it, rock bottom hasn't been reached yet.

We haven't long to wait now.
Eight days and Tipp will be the new favourites for Munster title, or will it be Cork?

Odds on Tipp winning the Munster title are about 1000000000000000000000000000000000/1 I'd say.

You're finger got stuck on the 0 key there as Paddy Power's odds on Tipp to win the Munster Final are 10/1

Rena Buckley to play no football this year. No surprise I guess as she is captain of the camogie this year. No word from Breige yet.

Not too surprising really. Big effort going into the camogie and I think breige will follow suit.

Cork Ladies 1-3 Waterford 2-6 HT.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,351 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Waterford led by 9 at one point, Cork got it down to 4 and Waterford score a third goal. winner takes all game v Kerry in Kerry in 2 weeks. Aileen Wall causing serious problems for Cork all game. 3-11 to 1-11 FT

Bit of a surprise but it should focus them for the Kerry game!

Where is that know-all lad/lass talkstoomuch or tinkstoomuch gone.
I used to enjoy those long rambling posts without full stops or capital letters.
Dineen from Castlehaven was his all star mid fielder AFAIR and John Hayes
    was useless.
'twud be fun to read his/her rants now about Cork footballers.
I'd bet that A. Walsh would take Dineen's place in mid field and Kerrigan would take
    John Hayes' jersey.

A bit of news about Alan O'Connor. His appeal against the red card failed so he will be out of the Munster Football Semi Final against Tipperary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,077 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    No Walsh and no O'Connor

Our midfield will be under serious pressure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 649 ✭✭✭DuffleBag

In fairness he was chancing his arm trying to get off that one.

senior camogie team start the All Ireland group stages with a 1-16 to 1-7 win over Tipperary.

I am hoping to see a reaction from the Cork football team today. None of this sleepwalking pace and wondering what to do next.

We need to see decisive action and passion for the cause. The start is most important just like the hurling game against Tipp. Set out the stall that we are here to win. Any kind of nervy start or indecisiveness will only give them courage and hope.

There are 3 Cork changes. Brian O’Driscoll, Ian Maguire and Luke Connolly in for Stephen Cronin, Kevin O’Driscoll and Mark Collins.

Eoin Cadogan is listed in the subs

What has happened to Colm O'Neill? Normally he is very good

That was an awful miss just there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,551 ✭✭✭SeaFields

That was a disgrace. I'd be going to the turnstile looking for a refund.
