    Pityful first half. Losing 11 v 5

O'Connor going off has left us wide open in midfield, think we have only won 2 kickouts since he went off.

We are very leggy and should be driving long fast ball into our forwards, but no, we are slowly building it up, taking up a lot of energy the players don't seem to have. Bad tactics, we should have changed by now.

Kildare are OK they look muck more sprightly than us but we are making it easy for them.

If we don't change our tactics we will lose, no doubt about it.

Lads I'm genuinely not being harsh here but this is awful from cork
Everything I said regards cork last week weeks before and huge unfair critsim I get just saying as is but I'm too negative im told well no one can argue here

Defence been ripped shresds so called blanket defence against poor Kildare only one forward conceded eleven points

We again make awful awful awful call driscoll outstanding player corner back yet galvin should be on or cadogan back
Christ why do obesses half back corner backs
Gutted for loughrey don't blame him as always never man marker and course like kerry done exposed him

Gutted alan o connor wish him best
Gould brought on when deane should be as if we win need him as o connor out likely

I lamented Kevin o Driscoll not half forward should be half back and nothing against colm but not creative
I said this time and time again
Now it's not raining no excuse but like said Cork don't pick create half forward line kick vary angle attack and colm outstanding with ball get no donnacha should be eleven not corner

Seriously those mistake are same ones repeated them again

Again bar enforced change no sub yet half time down by five
I am shocked we could loose division three team as knew cork as team poor despite great players and never saw Kildare beating us buy unless we act fast well loose

I thought we wouldn't be that bad and Kildare wouldn't take advantage

I still think we may just edge if with individual brilliance from o Neill or hurley if on fast as wonder do Kildare have believe see cork off
If Galway playing cork we were beaten
Five points ist half poor few from frees
I still think we will win but wouldn't have huge confidence but again performance shows nothing has been learned from three games this year clearly shown by Driscoll out position corner

O rourke needs come on fast with deane
Hurley also and if so well win

Jeez lads, that first half was pathetic.

I want and expect to see all in the Cork jersey up their performance in the second half or else they shouldn't be wearing it again. Simple as that.

Serious questions about Cuthbert if no change in the second half

TTM. The game is gone no matter who is brought on and how fast

Getting hammered here. No leaders. Cuthbert out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,861 ✭✭✭keano25

20 minutes left. 10 points down. Free in very easy position to score. Kildare have their whole team back. Cork opt to play it short. Those are the decisions that cost you games.

Well done Kevin O Driscoll. Wins a free and gets himself sent off.

Folks how come John Cleary was overlooked for football job? While Cuthbert was unlucky to win Munster a couple weeks ago he looks completely out of his depth.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,775 ✭✭✭The White Feather

I hope Cuthbert does the honourable thing at the end of the game and step down.

It would be a farce if he stays on

Have only been watching it on-and-off as hurling is my game, not football, but from what I've seen Cork have been very poor. Could be a very painful weekend for the rebels as I expect, as do many, Galway to win tomorrow. In my opinion, ye've got to start asking serious questions of the direction your county board is taking GAA down there.

Bit OT but... what is it that Cork fans actually chant? To me it sounds like "want to, want to be, want to be a rebel", but that doesn't make sense because if you are from Cork then you are a rebel anyway.

These guys are utterly useless. Most of them are embarrassingly overrated. Only a few of them can actually kick a football accurately.

Colm O Neill with a goal. Great player.

Cuthbert was put in because he's a safe fair of hands for the County Board. Won't rock the boat.

Woeful shot from Kerrigan sums up Corks day.

Cleary was usually found out when his U21 sides left the turkey shoot that was the Munster U21 football championship. Some of the Castlehaven antics in the media/social media means he'll never get the senior post.

They are an embarassment to the county.
No heart ,no pride, just roll over and lose.

I find it hard to believe that in such a large county that these are the best players we have,as you correctly say most of them dont look like natural footballers, just big strong athletic guys.

Was this to do with dual player issues? Cork have been dominant over Kerry at 21 level for last 10 years so they are definitely better than what they have produced today. Fresh voice is definitely needed now.

Exactly. The dual player issue is what got him in a lot feel.

    As I said earlier,
I hope Cuthbert goes straight away in his post match interview.

We need a fresh start, fresh approach and start again from scratch.

Whatever we have now is clearly not working and anyone can see that

Cuthbert should do the right thing now and respectively resign from his post.

    Management problem
    Play half back corner
Driscoll fit start yet dropped then played out position
    You couldn't make it up
Half back who half forward Barry driscoll made look poor
Blanket defence i critsed every single game conceded one nineteenth could be three goals
    Forwards not getting ball

This is no surprise as problems being there all year but you just couldn't of didn't want see it
No surprise but only one is today day lost poor Kildare side and Ryan good manager not great still had cork number

Thank management for commitment and passion they can't be faulted but tactics wise etc not elite level
Should resign like jbm do loose tomorrow if not have been sacked

This worst fermanagh beating cork eleven years ago as Cork no all ireland winners then or underage ones same level talent now
Every excuse be used by fans management when surely surely logic prevail and you see management are problems cork
Talent is their least beat Kildare be top four team

Don't blame Kevin o Driscoll as be fair he played out position and frustrated and deserved sent off but frustration cork player clear see
Dorman taken off then when o Driscoll should been o rourke came on too late
Awful awful day cork football worst senior team twenty years no exaggeration

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,069 ✭✭✭irishfeen

That's Brian Cuthbert gone, this is as embarrassing as it gets.. We're very weak mentally among the weakest in the country, Kerry beat us and we forget how to play - deep rooted problems!

I said it 2 years ago that Cuthbert was out of his depth.
    A shocking appointment.
His championship results will surely prove him to be the worst Cork manager.
    Brutal display.
    Well done Kildare.

brian, if you are a passionate cork football man do the right thing and go now ffs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,681 ✭✭✭ColeTrain

That's true with regards leinster connaught being poor but munster is stronger probably

Mayo wouldn't run through cork as mayo struggled league and better coached mayo couldn't put cork away last year
Mayo have done what exactly to say they are at the same level as last year
With respect sligo no true test

Cork orthodox are fine free flowing football and Cork better forwards cork would beat mayo
    Mayo won't beat kerry
    No real forwards
O shea yes looked great but bigger tests await
Donegal lot games and tired and armagh nearly got them last year same stage but Donegal get over that will beat mayo
Mayo haven't been tested at all at all

    Still think this?

Cork need new management, that simple.
