Don't need an AV on OSX, only Windows gets viruses

Was thinking that too, but was reading recently of a rise in malware and adware in certain lines of OSX. Mine is running fine at the moment though.

No. Antivirus does not protect against this, nothing beats common sense. I wouldn't trust Avg to block it either

Try the free version of CCleaner first - it will clear out plenty of junk (agree to creation of a restore point - to recover if required). I'd stick to the defaults until you get used to it. There's a good registry cleaner option too - again ensure a restore point is made before first use.

I can't link direct as a new user but this page gives you all the different versions of Windows 7/8 and how explains how to install,

    howtogeek.com/186775/how-to-download-windows-7-8-and-8.1-installation-media-legally/

and then use Ninite or allmyapps to reinstall all your apps quickly,

    https: // ninite.com/
    http: // allmyapps.com/

Always found that a waste of time unless you just want to clean out caches/bins/settings of a few different apps in one go.

Did you install the internet security package or just the anti virus, the link points to the antivirus but the key is for the full internet security package,

It deffo works as I only installed it two days ago
