    Right,

I got all of probability and statistics covered in THEORY, time to practice against the real thing.

    Three day plan:
Maths --> Practice probability and statistics questions in the papers (Three days to cover all past questions, 2% probability I'll get it done!)
    English --> Plath notes.
Irish --> Fix my list of vocabulary for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
    Geography --> Fix the essays!!!!!

    Mocks are fast approaching...

    Subject goals:
    Maths: A1 (no excuses!)
    Biology: A1
    Physchem: A1
    Geography: B1
    Irish: B1
    English: B3
    Italian: C3

Might make up a mock test for applied maths, although for practice and sanity, I'm going to know the questions in advance.

    :D

Right, need to make a list of definitions on probability and stats because they almost come up every year (MATHS EXAM ... WHY IS THERE ENGLISH?!)

    Three Day Plan:
    Irish: Continue learning vocabulary!
Italian: Five Pictures and Five Role plays revise.
    English: Practice using new vocabulary.
    PhysChem: Thermochemistry and Motion revise.
Geography: Update SRP sheets with new and more information.

    A lot to do :D.

Fairly confident. Have about four months to fix anything I screw up in the following days... hopefully my teachers aren't fastidious!

Sorry to kind of intrude on your log but this thread is really impressive and i'm looking to carry out a similar work ethic in terms of study next year when i'm in 6th year (don't know if i'll keep a study log though...maybe)

I just wanted to ask: what are you planning on studying in college? If your happy to share, I'd be interested to know the order of courses you plan on choosing with the cao? :)

Stuck between engineering and science to be honest.

I think I'll go TCD engineering first choice... Deciding what to do in college is more stressful than the exams!

My problem is that I'm quite indecisive, so I have no way between choosing engineering science psychology and even law... Just going to pick one and go with it, see where I end up.

    How about you? Any ideas?

Haven't done a zilch of work since Thursday.

Getting too comfortable with the school less days and the long nights! :o

Three Day Plan (starting tomorrow :o)
-Applied Maths --> Linear Motion, Relative Velocity and Statics
-Italian --> Revise all pictures and role plays (bar last two)
-Geography --> Fix notes and update SRPs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,823 ✭✭✭DublinArnie

Need to study smart! I've done bits and bobs but have to build throughout the week.

At the moment, geography... Applied maths... And English are most important subjects.

    Monday:
    -Applied Maths (morning)
    -Italian Oral (evening)
    -English Poetry (evening)

    Tuesday:
    -Geography SRP Essay (morning)
    -Irish Oral (evening)
    -Maths Skim Revision (evening)

    Wednesday:
    -Applied Maths (morning)
    -Italian Oral x2 (evening)
    -English 20m Essay (evening)
    -Geography UPDATE NOTES (evening)

    Thursday:
    -Biology Bi-chapter revision (morning)
    -Applied Maths (evening)
    -Irish Oral (evening)

    Friday:
    -Geography SRP Essay (morning)
    -English King Lear (evening)

    Saturday:
-Weekly top up (build on anything I struggled throughout week) (evening)
    -Applied Maths x2 (evening)

    Sunday:
    -Italian Oral (morning + evening)
    -Irish Oral (evening)
    -Maths Skim Revision (evening)

I'm determined to stick with this plan, because it will address where I fell for my mocks and more importantly it will force me to build on my study, instead of doing random chunks.

Will update everyday (not today, today is my last break day ;)) UNTIL easter break.

Fair play do you get much done?

Really depends. Some days all I'd get done is some reading of notes or a maths question and then I head back into bed, other days I'd get 3 30m essays done or an entire exam paper.

It gets easier if you make your bed straight away when you get up, put your alarm across the room and wash your face with cold water.

Hoping to go on a nice streak of morning study in the coming days!
