Cool thanks, I'll think about it anyway :)
There's a thread in BA also today, seggesting using DE site and mailboxde for delivery.

I just realised that this is the OPO's owners thread.
Sorry for all the off topic guys :o

Is Android system 20percent usage of the battery normal for anyone else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,185 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

No, should only be 5%, 3 times in the time Ive had mine Ive had to reboot it to stop it doing that, or else its usually an app hiding behind Android System, clear out anything you dont use and reboot and see if it goes away.

Got the OTA update last night, still 4.4.4 KitKat? No complains this side would like to keep it KK until LP is more mature

Having a lot of WiFi issues lately. No problem connecting but very low speeds to nothing at all while the laptop and other devices have no problem. It then suddenly fixes itself. This is an intermittent problem.

    Anyone else has same issue?

So just got an OTA update to KTU84Q. All went well.

What should i notice if anything?

How do I re root the phone after this update?

    Edit: Figured the re-boot out.

    1. Power off after the OTA update completes.
    2. Hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons until you feel a vibrate then release them.
    3. Teamwin will load. (If you have CWM the process from here should be very similar)
    4. Select reboot.
    5. Select Recovery.
    6. Choose the option to root.

Once rooted and re-booted go into SuperSU and update. The phone should offer to do this shortly after re-booting anyway.

Once SuperSU is updated go into Root Checker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck to verify root and you should be good to go.

Sometimes some apps on my phone disappear when they update???

They are still on my phone but I have to manually put them back on myscreen
    Any ideas why this happens?

Anyone I know with an OPO cant list a single bug with it, anything you don't like can be customized away. Everyone in the Nexus 6 thread complains the battery is sh1t. Thats my favourite thing about the OPO compared to every other smartphone Ive used, being able to be a power user with it out and about, use it as a GPS on a drive, use it as a work phone, do all your browsing etc and know you'll be able to make it home with plenty of power to spare.

    I got 4.

    1) The Power button is sometimes unresponsive while charging, I have to plug it out and in again to get the screen to light.
    2) Sometimes just after unlocking the screen, the touch is unresponsive and I have to draw my unlock pattern twice.
    3) (Maybe related to 2) The double tap to wake sometimes doesn't work, have to use the power button.
    4) I get no internet connectivity while on H+, LTE is fine and blistering.

Never heard of any of those, an update to a newer version or a rollback to an older one will probably sort them anyway.

    There are definitly glitches.

Sometimes my audio plays for a second then stops and wont come back on until a reboot. But i have ahad issues like this with all Androids

They could all be related to the proximity sensor. i.e. if its too dark or my finger is over the sensor the double tap wont work

Main problem I'll have is occasionally screen rotation stops working entirely (a reboot always fixes it).

I've noticed it a few times myself, I think this happens when the icon is updated. Thats the only difference I could find

1 hr 33 mins on battery.

    Dolphin browser 45%
    Screen 35%
    Android system 9%
    Android os 8%

That doesn't really tell us anything, it doesnt even say what level the battery is at, post a screenshot of a normal days use.

    Dolphin browser 45%

    Android os 8%

And what battery % is used?
I haven't charged since yesterday morning and I still have 45% left.

How long do you normally get? I've found this to have the best battery life (by far) of any smartphone I've had. Currently I'm at 87% with 6hrs45mins on battery, and that's with normal enough usage.

I would personally be of the opinion that nothing should be using more battery % than your screen, especially when you have a screen as big as the OnePlus so if it was my phone I would be very suspect of what Dolphin browser is doing

This is a screenshot of it now.
    Charged it last this morning.

There is no problem there. It looks like you do be browsing the internet a lot all day. What is the screen on time. Click on the screen 30%

Haven't noticed any negative side effects with latest OTA update.

My touch to wake is slower to respond after the update. Charging seems slower and the phone goes extremely hot while charging.

My phone charges VERY slow now since the new OTA. Although I don't have the heat issue.
