    Does Reddit even have mods?

That's a no then I take it. But yes it does. I just ask because I was wondering if this unmoderated forum follows this format. I know on reddit there isn't much moderation because posters themselves will downvote the crap and trouble makers which allows things to proceed without being derailed. Unfortunately that mostly just ends up with circle jerks and anyone with an alternate opinion to the majority getting silenced somewhat.

Good post but you forgot the Travellers and the unemployed
An unmoderated thread would have people complaining about the travellers, politicians, and be linking to warez, porn, and places that you could buy drugs at.

An unmoderated forum... would get boards.ie shut over the weekend!

How come its only boards that seems to feel like they'll be shut down at every little turn? As an example during the Anglo trial a thread here was closed (possibly hidden) until the result was returned later in the day. It was literally the only website I saw that shutdown discussion, there was no problem discussing it on a multitude of other sites.

Tis all about the bottom line, odd when the people paying your way are alienated.

But so does facebook, twitter, etc. Politics.ie is similar enough to boards, surely they have similar threats being an Irish company but don't seem to moderate to anywhere near the same extent as boards.

Sorry I should have said twitchy shareholders. :D

Legal threats are gathered up in a bundle and used to start fires in winter ;)
