Update: so I just checked and a 850 evo SSD is £149.99 and the M2 drive is £144.45 on offer.

Oh right so the M2 is cheaper. Tbh I wasn't always keeping up to date on SSD prices. I know M2 were more expensive one time due to their small form factor.

On the topic of will the M2 fit your motherboard just look to see if it has a M2 socket.

    Edit: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170M%20Pro4S/index.us.asp

Is that your motherboard? It does support M2 sata and NVMe M2 drives.

Yes that is my M/B. Samsung NVMe 256GB is £119.19 or £219.99 for 500GB. I had heard there were different types of of M2 drives, thanks for clarifying that. Will have to check how many of my sata ports are currently in use, since the non-NVMe M2 drive takes up two sata ports. Hmm a 1TB 850 is £335.56. I should probably be Mr Sensible and buy in the January sales, or wait until my desire for a shiny new toy goes away. :D

I'm no expert on SSD's. But the NVMe is way faster than a normal sata one but will you see a benefit day to day I do not know as I never owned a NVMe drive. Yes if you install windows on the drive it will boot and load programs faster. Do you play games?

A few, but they are not AAA games, basically I have have what I need.

Lads I recently upgraded to a 980ti but I'm still using a 550W PSU, instead of the recommended 600W. Could this damage my pc or should I get away with it?

Should be fine if it's a decent PSU, what's the other specs?

Some interesting info on Kaby Lake stuff:

Interesting bit: There's a 4GHz i3. No pricing for anything listed yet though.

Second place, also known as first of the losers. It's practically useless now, may as well just throw it in the bin.

True, I personally love him. Hate his friend, Jessy Cox or what's his name.

He does make many candid points though.

I got bored from watching the BF1 campaign gameplay he showed - it really looks like a charmless, braindead corridor shooter, with none of the flair of Wolfenstein/DOOM 4.

Never in the history of ever, has anyone, given two ****s about Battlefield single player.

I've played every iteration since 1942, you know, that game that was MP only, and I've never once played the Single player. Last few games I've given a mate my account details as he likes playing SP, but I've never once stepped foot into SP.

Taking issue with a BF single player mode is like saying Counter Strike with bots is really ****, its a totally irrelevant scenario, that no one cares about

It's not that "Battlefield single-player must be good" he's taking issue with.

It's all the reviews lauding the SP campaign as great, when it is (objectively) a boring, worse-than-formulaic piece of trash; a mindless shooting gallery with none of the values exhibited in the multi-player.

DICE/EA hyped it up to be this grand thing, and it's worse than games from 5-10 years ago.

Haven't tried it myself yet but most people are speaking positively of it. As someone who thought BF4 and BF3 single player campaigns were very playable, the fact that most people consider BF1's campaign the virtual worlds Citizen Kane by comparison makes me think I'll be very happy with the BF1 campaign.

Personally I thought the Bad Company games had worse campaign's than either BF3 or BF4. Haven't played Hardline's.

Lads I got a Rog Swift PG278Q but it's not picking up my pc. I thought I might have been using a DP 1.1 cable and that was the reason, but I read online that any DP cable should work. Anyone else have this issue?

It's fine on my laptop and desktop both of which have SSDs. What problems are you having?

It has problems when the OS is installed on an SSD and there is not a large amount of space available on the disk.
