I was very disappointed to hear Robert Heffernans comments that once he couldn't get gold he had no interest in the race. A very poor outlook, I would expect much better from a world champion. While he has been successful, it's not as is he has won everything going.

Agree, isn't it a bit of an insult to other competitors?
Remember when Paula Radcliff did awful one year in marathon ; didn't stop though.

Obviously I don't know how his head was but not impressed.
In golf competitors get fined if they pull out of a competition without proper reason.

Fionnula looked very comfortable coming up that hill and passing Nicole Spirig. The two leaders are loking very comfortable, Abeylegasse seems to be catching them on the downhill. The camerman seems to be a big fan of Agusto, she's been running in those short shorts for years

Ha ha. There's no way they're comfortable. The ones Daunay wears are perfect or fionnuala.
That hill looks horrendous. Drumcondra and glasnevin hills paying off!

Most of the marathon runners are too skinny. Now, the sprinters, they have fantastic asses.

    Fourth fastest Irish women's marathon.

Like the way Gerry is breaking down the 10km splits and pointing out just how fast they were, would win mini marathon easily.
