When someone lets off a silent fart in the cinema and everyone is looking around... awkward. It's not like you are gonna see a cloud of bad smell beside the person.. but everyone looks to see who is the reddest.

Overly patriotic people who shout out IRA slogans, despite having little knowledge about the IRA and not being able to speak a word of Irish.

The "Barack Obama Plaza" in Moneygall. Absolutely Cringeworthy name. My OH and I stopped by on the way to Dublin the other day for a look. Fine facility, but seriously? The Barack Obama Plaza!? and whats with the grimacing life-size photo of the man himself inside the front door?

    Only in Ireland.

At least they didn't call it 'The Obama will be back Plaza'

Do you think his cousin gets free food there? And what happens when the next presidents is elected. Awkward.

irish soccer supporters who are over the top in following English clubs and who be singing in pubs etc on a saterday:confused::confused:

like I enjoy a good game of soccer as much as the next...but some of the ****e spoken in the soccer forum is childish at best with little to no analysis...just an excuse for trolling...read some of the mod notes...it would be funny if not cringeworthy

I remain sceptical that the fans in England (locals like) are as foolish

Yes some of them are complete morons. I remember one of them wanted to fight me one time just because I had a jersey signed by a couple of players and I was a pr1ck because of it.

Liverpool vs. United arguments are the worst!

Me: I think United were poor last year.
Them: YEAH WELL LIVERPOOL WERE BAD FOR AGES AND EVERYTHING THEY WON WAS UNDESERVED AND THEIR MANAGER'S FAT AND THAT'S WHY YOU'RE WRONG.

Why get so defensive over a group of overpaid "men" who kick a ball around a pitch and roll around on the ground at the slightest touch?

Shinnerbot revisionism presented as theory. It's the online equivalent of having a fat man with tattoos bleating on about 'the struggle' in an Irish bar in Spain, only with access to 'links' that can prove anything. Obsession, anger and contempt presented as pragmatism is a dangerous ideology.

I taught of getting access to that forum....but after reading few match threads etc...just decided not to bother....there seems to be little in the way of analysis....and I know its not all children posting there as I see lads my own age posting the same prue and utter tripe on facebook

like I do enjoy soccer and would read good analysis/reports in build up to matches...but there seems to be a childish element to it...that they follow each other around to different thgreads taunting/trolling each other...this messing could go on for weeks:confused::confused:

anywhoo enough about soccer....also cringed when the government arranged someone to meet Donald trump when he came to Ireland...a man whose brand of capatilism Ireland would do well not to embrace

Irish people supporting English football clubs.

Oh! When my mam starts singing!
She has very bad self esteem but at some point got it into her head that the one thing she's good at is singing. Now, she's actually good at plenty of things but singing really isn't one of them so. When she starts abruptly starts singing it's just the most awkward thing in the world cos she perseveres with it and gets really in your face about it, she'll sing the whole song and move onto another one, keep going until someone says she's good.

Other than musicals, the archived version of my old myspace page and my 500 post strong blog from a few years back, I can't think of anything else!

EDIT: The guys on local Irish radio who put on cowboy voices for their country and western music shows!
