Conor's accent has gotten even more bizarre. I assume the UFC are asking him to put on that accent so people can understand him... At least I hope that's what they've asked him to do.

He's morphing into Frank Stapleton :pac:

they are a joke of a bookmakers your worse leaving the account open with max bet 4 they dont want to lay bets and I thought it was only on racing, cowards.

usually ok with my stakes and first time ive seen that with them so maybe
its just with mma live betting

you are right though, they are a poor excuse for a bookie as with a
few more big named ones (esp stan james)

odds at end of rnd 3, more annoyed now that ebersole won
    hard call though

I the Dublin documentary you can see him in the taxi putting a pen in his mouth because he reckons it clears the speech. In fairness a rough Crumlin accent would not really cut it for the media commitments.

He is obviously working on speech and using american terms to suit the audience.

    Smart move TBH

What is it with it with the American crowds that they never show up for prelims? Looks/sounds empty

    Is it fashionable or something?

I get the feeling that Thompson is going to land something nice here.

2 good paid sparring sessions there in a row them last 2 fights.

Thompson defo more worried about beong beat than beating cote there. He was there for the finish.

"Thompson let him off the hook" says Joe. Hard to disagree with that, the knockout was in the palm of his hand.

Frustrating night for Cote. Thompson's movement really frustrated him and couldn't close the distance at all. Kept guessing all the time.

serious lack of agression in them two fights I thought, not a prayer of an inch given in the main events thankfully.

You can't imagine the mcgregor or cerrone fights being as timid for the finish which is partially why they are top billing and what fans want to watch.

Yeah exactly theres a reason why them lads were on the prelims,

Only 4 fights till Conor and Dustin cant wait to see his entrance.

Yup, was hoping he'd finish it after the punch that knocked Cote down. He deserved the win but was strange to see him hold back where other fighters would have gone for the knockout/tko

my brother is at it, his seat didnt exist when he arrived... got a major upgrade and is almost on the flat of the venue and is right beside the walk out path. Said it didnt sell out and they didnt open a section or something... nice little break! Ronda Rousey sitting just in front of them... :)

Should be a victory for Masvidal.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 134 ✭✭blackbelt1

Masvidal just too good there never really looked like finishing krause though hope to see some ruthlessness in the bouts to come, nobody stealing the show so far anyways as expected.

Been pretty underwhelming so far. No bonuses being handed out for that lot of fights
