Todd McShay has released his latest mock draft on ESPN Insider. All selections are available to view below:

Would be shocked if Giants took Scherff at 9, tbh.

    Probably a little annoyed too.

It just wreaks of groupthink at the moment, I would love to see a bit of original thinking for someone to offer a different opinion.

I did not see one mock having us take OBJ last year or Pugh the year before that.

I use podcasts to keep up to date with football

Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah is excellent. He was a college QB then worked as a scout for the Ravens, Browns and Eagles then started in the media.

Lots of little segments like he'll read a report from his scouting days and you guess the player. It's well produced and I recommend it anyway.

I cannot stand McShay and Kiper shouting over each other on ESPN First Draft. The show has a plan but it wanders off into stupid banter and if I'm not entertained I'm not listening. Shouting does not equal your point is correct

Ross Tucker has Gregg Cosell on once a week to discuss each position group. Wednesday AFAIK. Worth a listen. Also Andrew Brandt each Tuesday and learn about front offices, agents and the business side.

Around the league podcast with the four NFL.com contributors is a good listen too. Humourous dialogue with straight talking football analysis. They won't be talking X's and O's but it's a good way of keeping up to date on the NFL headlines. Also listen to the Dave Dameshek one, I find he grates at about the mid-way point of each episode!

Sometimes I feel Kiper's only goal for the podcast is to list off as many draft eligible players he can in a row per position. Kinda like throwing pizza at a wall.

ya i listen to most of the above when i have time but i would say the daniel jeramiah is the best of the bunch he really knows his stuff and takes flak for it at times got absolutely abused for putting kevin white above cooper in his first mock draft and plenty are doing it now he's one of the few that does not just look at what others are saying and copy it.

for any eagles fans the bleeding green nation podcast is quite good

i 100% agree with you on this one - enjoy the around the league - listen to it regularly - but damesheks one is just too much - and after about 10-15 mins you get really sick of his over acting every single sentance!!

Dameshek is the definition of a wreck the head. His podcasts are filled with so much drivel that starts out as NFL discussion but leads into some awful topic like what movies the Producer hasn't seen.

The ATNFL and Move the Sticks podcasts go that way too but I don't mind when they do it, I like Daniel Jeremiah and the Around the NFL lads are actually quite funny when they are ripping into each other.

The ATNFL guys have this Buzzfeed type directive it seems where everything has to be lists or power rankigs etc etc. I guess that's how they approach keeping things fresh in the off season.

Move the Sticks did the Jameis Winston 360 Podcast 2 weeks back and the Mariota one should be available tomorrow AM. I found it very interesting - Would recommend any Podcasters interested in the draft to give them a listen.

What's yer take on Byron Jones.? He was an early 3rd before the combine and now he's getting good 1st round looks. I can't work out whether he's worth the hype or not

to be fair he has some good tape just not a lot of it he's probably a late first early second i think his combine just made people go back and look at the tape rather than bump him up for being an athlete

How would you rate him compared to the other top Cb's

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,426 ✭✭✭franglan

While we are going slightly off topic the Ross Tucker football podcast is usually decent too. Little bit of talk around that Winston may not be nailed on a 1 as the Bucs had Mariota in and might see him as less of a risk than Winston. I don't really buy it, still think Winston will go 1. Has anyone seen any draft analysis say otherwise lately?

    My top 5 CB's.

    1. Trae Waynes
    2. Kevin Johnson
    3. Marcus Peters
    4. Alex Carter
    5. Byron Jones

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,719 ✭✭✭JaMarcusHustle

Marcus Peters has always been my #1 CB and frankly he's the only I'd consider picking in rounds one or two. The others I think are being ranked highly purely because of the shortage of talent at the position.

I'm a bit 50/50 on peters..I really like his coverage abilities and size but in terms of tackling and the more physical parts of the game I think he's pretty poor..I like pj Williams myself but iv always had a soft spot for physical don't back down types of players

id have marcus peters higher as a player but he's got off the field issues. also jalen collins might be a reach at that stage but I'm pretty high on him

    honourable mention to pj williams.

Think we jinxed him after mentioning him in the last few comments..I see a lot of mocks now have peters as the 1st CB going in the draft..less than. Month left now ðŸ˜Â႒

Mariota quite shy and introverted on Gruden's QB camp. Didn't come across as a natural leader at all (wouldn't read too much into it anyway).

i think thats overrated to be honest ideally you want it but the likes of flacco and eli have won superbowls and there hardly the most vocal of people.

Flacco is awkward in dressing room videos and in interviews too. Also the worst actor ever in advertisments

Doesn't affect his leadership at all

Give me that anyday over Philip Rivers screaming criticism at the linemen on the sidleline

Hey leave Philip out of this!!

Philip's an angel... doesn't even use swear words. Gets worked up but it'll just be lots of gollys and goshs.

Superbowls aren't really a great measure of how good a QB is though.

no but its unusual to win a quperbowl without a good one. I'm not a fan of either but they've shown the ability to lead there team particularly in the playoffs i think both are the unquestioned leader of there team.

joe montana was another who was not a guy that roared at people a lot but he was a pretty decent leader to say the least

Yet its why the likes of Rivers and Romo are behind say, Big Ben, in the talks of great QBs, despite me thinking both are better than him.

Complete tangent, I know. But I wanted to say it :pac:

I dsiagree on them being unquestioned leaders. I think Ray lewis was the unquestioned leader of the Ravens when they won their last superbowl. I think Eli Manning had a team stacked with excellent defensive talent when they won both of their superbowls. This is not to take away from the performance of Eli or Flacco in the play-offs/Superbowls. Both were amazing but that doesn't make them unquestioned leaders in my eyes. Joe Flacco is probably the default leader now but for me he's not the type of QB who inspires confidence. He's simply not consistent enough. The same with Eli.
