Anyone having trouble with the sky go app? I can't access a video on it for the last few days and I'm guessing it has something to do with the preview program. I meant to leave the program last month and all but forgot lol

I'm the same. Hasn't worked all week or even longer.

Yea I haven't taken much notice but it has defiantly stopped in last 4 days or so

  • Was there a recent patch for the preview program that increased performance for backward compatible?
Was playing some gears coop Sunday and we noted that Gears Judgement & Gears 3 were running much faster

There was a fix put in to stop some framerate issues, so that might be what you are seeing. Not sure on if the titles themselves got an update or not.

Not sure on if this is a good thing or not, wouldn't this allow more spam onto the system?

If Microsoft are just going to use the spam filter that they use for outlook.com, then I think we're all going to be fending off adverts for penis enlargement pills fairly often.

Arena is AVAILABLE NOW!!! In Killer Instinct only...... and only in the US.....

    Ah well.

LFG got a load of nice updates as well.

They added a shiny to achievements

I like they added a filter now to the friends list , so you can sort clubs first, recent players, favourites etc.

Surprised that they haven't made more of this to be honest, but the latest previews have included a focus on the speed of the dashboard.

Navigation does seem improved to me, but then again, I never really had the slowdown other people have had.

Any idea on when they're pushing out the LFG and clubs to the people not on the preview programme? Halo 5 and Gears 4 horde players are thin on the ground on my friends list for the most part.

At last!! This has taken a frustratingly long time. I hope they have tweaked the design layout and not just oomph the response times to the ridiculous amount of server calls. The main dash page should have no dependency whatsoever on connecting to remote servers. If you want any of that stuff you should have to specifically navigate to it. Going to the left menu where your friends list is should load the friends asynchronously one by one so that you don't get the initial delay or as I've said, you should have to specifically request to load the friends list. Why should I have to wait for my friends list to load just to get to the settings or achievements etc anyway?! This is a bad design Who am I complaining to here? Maybe Microsoft read boards, you never know :D

I'm still having on and off issues with the community page. Hope it sorts it.
Thought it was Nat issues but I have open Nat now

Oh I just noticed you now get a little 1 beside the settings wheel on the side bar to tell you that there is an update ready for you.

Lots of nice little "fit and finish" features coming in this update, when installing a game from disk, it now separates out the disk and update remaining, so you can see if it's your internet connection slowing it down.

Lots of little things are being added in now, they must be nearly ready to roll it out

Good few more days yet. It only hit feature complete recently.

The Xbox One preview program is being renamed the Xbox Insider Program, with a new app that anyone can download(eventually, it's being rolled out slowly right now.)

What's not changing is the fact that system updates are still limited to those who are already in the preview program.

    You can read more here.

The groups feature is really great.

There was none of the regular lads on last night so I looked for a popular public gears of war group.

I seen there were groups organising games. This is the gem of groups on Xbox. I scrolled down until I found a group of 4 players looking for 1 more. The description stated Horde mode, no quitting on Insane difficulty. So I selected it which sent a msg to the organiser and I got a party & game invite almost instantly. They used tags like ''Mic required'' so as soon as I entered the party everyone was talking away.

We beat level 50 on Insane difficulty and got one of those new rare achievements (less than 1% of the player base have unlocked that achievement)

It's a great tool to have for gamers looking to assemble a group. Look for large public game specific groups to increase the pool size of players organising games.

New insiders app is live now just update the old preview app, I had to do it from my games and apps to get it to update.

Theres a preview of the MS Photos app in it and some interesting surveys , one asks about frame rates.

Is it worth having a Boards group, perhaps?
