A very rare Lancia Thesis. Lancia's first attempt at an Executive type car.
This one is a 2.4 turbo straight 5 engine and is a daily driver. They were not sold here or the UK. Lovely leather interior and looks and drives mint. I love the look of it. Front reminds me of early Hyundai Sonata.

Zv plate in the window and tax and insurance discs. So why the UK plates?

Maybe it's a well-known car for some reason? Famous previous owner, TV appearance... ?

For some reason I am reminded of the 1990s Ford Granada/Scorpio from looking at those pictures. Were the Lancias a "badge engineered" car that borrowed from Ford?

Lancia Gamma: "Am I a joke to you?"

(Also Aurelia, Beta berlina, Thema, Kappa)

    ;-)

Hardly a Merc, 5 series type of thing above, Are they ? Beta, Really :D

Nope. Didn't even share it's chassis with any other Fiats / Lancias.

Probably been posted here plenty of times already, but yesterday was the first time I managed to catch a decent pic of the old MG on Clanbrassil Street. It's been there years I think.

I'd say that's been there 20 years or more.

This has been posted a few times, including by myself, and the van too. Very sad to see the state of them, getting worse each time I pass them. More stuff rusting away in the garden too. The Lancia looks even worse from the other side and it was in lovely condition years ago.

EDIT just noticed your Lancia Thesis pics from a doors down!

He showed up in that Lancia to view a Saab 96 I was selling a few years ago. Nice guy, eccentric for sure.

I would say there are plenty of able bodies here to tackle that.
Its way too far out in the boonies here for it:)

And you know well Covid rules forbid me to open the inn at the moment:p

This Alfa was inside Bill Sheehan's Mitsubishi in Terenure tonight on the way back from work, and couldn't resist stopping by. They must have brought it in recently - looks lovely.

Is that owned by a former regular on boards, Chris / Audi Chris? I remember him buying one about a decade ago and trying to get it to run, but then he disappeared off the forum

The last one is in a sorry state, but we'll worth saving an original Irish reg 2000e.

Might have actually seen that gold Merc in Clontarf earlier, was it a red reg at the back?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,244 ✭✭✭MrCostington

    Beaumont, Dublin this morning.

    landy.jpg

BTW re the Lancia, Just a few doors around the corner is a '93 (IIRC) Prelude, looking very sad for itself, been there years too. Don't like taking pics in gardens so here is what seems an old Streetview.
