The shine on it is really impressive.
Parked beside a Golf with kid on board blind though.
    I see trouble ahead.

    well spotted 26K :)

linky to the auction page with a few more pics..

Mercedes of that era had 5 digit clocks, so you can add at least 100K to the 'real' mileage

Very nice usable classic, but gearbox wont go into park and it really needs new paint to be perfect, lots of pinholes/watermarks ALL over. But for the money, its good value. €5100 in the end.

^ cheers 26K - were you bidding on anything there yourself?
I love the Mercs of that era, gorgeous lines

2 or 3 got away from me on strong bidding, especially a lovely SLK. The diesel cayenne had more damage than i liked.

That merc was special alright. It looked well, ran excellent. Great value for someone. The Bentley wasn't bad either, smokey engine and leather was poor, made 4 and a monkey but I doubt it'd go for that. The white sl merc was lovely too, runnIng rich and stalling.;-)
    That was it for classics.

BMW 8 Series on the Clontarf Road today. Ironically I was only watching the Wheeler Dealers episode on this one yesterday evening.

I’m sure that is the one from wheeler dealers as the buyer in the programme was from Ireland

After re-watching the WD episode, their one IMO seems to be a dark blue as opposed to purple and the hubs are different, but still possible!

    Greystones sightings over the weekend.
I reckon the VW has a connection to some religious/spiritual group, don't know how they get away with the reg plate though.
The G-Wagen & SL are daily drivers.
Haven't seen the 7-er before, sounded and looked great.

Noticed that VW camper on Friday night outside my local chipper in Knockylon - myself and friends were also asking ourselves how they get away with the reg :p

Caught a couple of classic Mercs off the Northumberland Road earlier - the area seems to have a very high number of classic car owners. I also came across a Rolls Royce (possibly a Silver Shadow) and a few classic BMW's including an E24 but as I was driving at the time I wasn't able to get pictures of them.

You don't get to afford houses like those by spending your money on car tax.... ;-)
