why not put the price you are contemplating accepting up and you will see then if some one here will meet that also?

If you are genuine in wanting to sell it here of course.

Could do that of course but in my experience people often take that as just a next step in the negotiation process and then start offering "meet me half way" and the like 😂

But anyway. Of course the good people in here are better than that. For a deal cash or Revolut before the end of the weekend I will accept €2200

a fair point but if someone has offered a price already it’s easy say no to further negotiations. Done deal is a little more difficult to navigate than Adverts I guess. I dont advertise on there for that reason.

I never said it was priced way under cheapest in the world. I said it can be had way under cheapest in the world. I will stand by that.

Could you please share the link to that watch? It is cheaper than the cheapest I could find when I launched the ad.

€2200 is hardly way under cheapest in the world is it ?Thats a €1600 watch max , any more and bite their hand off .I’ve been watching these for a while now , nicer than the new models but not as nice as a decent Breitling.

while breitling are nice they are soft as margarine and are slow to move on I found

Yes youhave to buy at that right price or buy to keep.

    In what way soft though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,116 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Thanks for the link. Price is ex shipping and the watch looks well worn. Nothing wrong with that mind.

My watch is a €1600 watch max now? Dunno dude, maybe you have been taking a bit too heavy a med this evening 😁

As I said I’ve been watching these for a while as I intend to buy but most likely the black bezel due to its short 4 month span. The blue is common. I’ve said no to that model at €3k , 2500 and €2k . If you get €1600 in your pocket you’ve done well.
The proof is in the sale , what have you been offered for it ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,116 ✭✭✭✭unkel

You're way off dude ;-) Was offered cash in my hand €2100 this evening. Tempted as I was, I refused it.

That said, yours is of course always a good policy to only ever buy at super cheap prices. This will pretty much guarantee you will never lose money on a watch even if the market collapses.

Will you go and **** off. I never lie. Anyone who has ever met me in person will vouch for me. Not sure why you have a problem with me, that says more about you than about me.

if you have an offer of 2100.

And are trying to squeeze 2200 out of someone on here.

Then **** me that says a lot about you.

Most others here would say “I have an offer of 2100 from a stranger, last try lads 2000 and i hope ye have luck with it”

I thought you meant delicate or prone to damage .

As a pre owned purchase or discounted at retail they’re not bad.

I’ve an Avenger 43 and a superocean heritage .Paid 2700 and 2250 for each. I wouldn’t imagine I’d loose much on either if I sell.Compared to a few Tudors I sold recently, all within a couple of years old and lost about a grand on each but I did buy them at retail with no discount. As with every purchase ,you cover yourself if you buy at the right price.

jeepers lads.. am just waiting for @Wibbs to drop in and tell everyone to calm it down or they’ll pull the ability for us to sell here.

yeah I as I mentioned on the pics thread tried the new avenger on hols, 4.9k retail but you'd get it for 3.2k (brand new)or so if you search around, you'd want to be a martyr for punishment buying at retail!

Nice watch in general and good value for that money

Hi is anyone interested in a white Omega Seamaster 2023. There was a tiny nick on the lug. I sent it back to Omega UK, it's now 100%. It's just not getting wrist time. It's a great watch but I'm wearing a Seiko Save The Ocean day to day as probably overly protective of it, I am also looking to move on one of two Explorers. Bought black wanting the white, then white came up but I'm now not even sure I prefer the white anymore. Lol.

Private message me if you're interested I will do a good deal for a watch enthusiast. A lot less than retail but I'm not giving it away!

Is the seamaster boxed with cards and bracelet? Also what kinda money ballpark you'd consider might be useful. Glws

    Cheers

Indeed. Far too much cloak and dagger promises of good deals. I believe the original premise of this thread was that all deals were done on thread and in open; prob not what people want either but a happy medium is better ie name your price; I do appreciate that particular seller got a little roasting on his explorer pricing but hey; it just saved them time wasted with what was seen to be unrealistic valuations.

I posted about 5 days ago 😂 I am willing to sell the black explorer at retail. Is that so crazy to you? It's literally in brand new condition

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 10,279 ✭✭✭✭893bet

In this market. It is a little.

But not totally mental. It’s not the most popular model so it’s never going to sell in a day unless priced very keenly. You need to find the right buyer. The right uninformed buyer.

How much are you after for the omega anyway?

I understand where the Explorer II sits in terms of popularity in the Rolex range. I don't need to be told that. Not being smart but did you ever own one? It's an absolutely beautiful watch. I've yet to hear someone who owns an Explorer say they don't like it. Plenty say it who've never owned one. I wasn't keen on them when I got into watches first but as time went on I started to appreciate them. Wear one for a few days and I guarantee your opinion will change. If you have owned one then fair enough, but I'd be surprised to hear of any Explorer II owner here who'll say they like the watch less now than before they bought it. I just want to move one of two. If they white came available first I would own one, not two.

On the Omega, too many heroes here who have an opinion on everything. If someone is genuinely interested they can DM, if they aren't bothered to DM they won't buy it anyways. It'll around 30% off retail, as good as new. Can tell you that. Not in this forum to be arguing with hurlers on the ditch about watch prices. My watch, my price. Thought this forum was for genuine watch enthusiasts not for people will their long service boards medals to be pontificating to everyone.

Not desperate to sell but feel watches should be worn. If the price isn't right for both parties at the moment, I'll keep. Simple.
