The rest of this season now could well be Tasha teaching him 'the game' and then a season climax of Tariq killing Ghost and taking over full time. Maybe after Ghost has killed Tommy too - all the competition wiped out
Oh man don't be saying things like that cos it will probably happen that way haha. I just hope someone blows Tariq away before end of season, be that Tommy or a drug deal gone wrong - just anything to get rid of him. He isn't a believable gangster in any shape or form and never will be. Imagine a series of listening to him mumbling his way through every episode :(

I'm out, I'll follow it through reviews. Great show at the start, once
    50 was killed off
it never really recovered in my opinion. Just gone too unbelievable for me anyway.

Tariq couldn't lead a series. A lead needs a likeability factor.

I hope Tariq gets bumped off. Seriously, kids in TV shows ruin them to a degree. Off the top of my head, Anthony jr in the Sopranos. What a twat.

As I've said previously I still love the show because it's pure popcorn for the brain, but god it's gotten outrageously dumb. Even
Tommy confronting Ghost about the hitter - Ghost feebly says it wasn't him after being accused, but neither him nor Tommy even engage in any sort of meanginful debate about it at all whatsoever before deciding to kill Jason. Eh...OK.

Imagine if Sopranos had slid this badly. Tony would've wacked Phil with a Hind Gunship while conducting a public affair with his wife.

It was always fairly far fetched ..........an almost celebrity nightclub owner who was a major player in the drugs game ............ a huge secret he's Ghost despite half the gangs in the city knowing it.

It was always great TV but it was never gritty, hard hitting stuff. It was cinemaesque stuff.

LOL with that ending this week.

Thought it was a great episode, cliche plot but still entertaining

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,076 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

It's really starting to drag out now.

Ghost is starting to lose his mind too with all the hallucinating.
I think it was Tariq that shot Ghost, purely based on Ghost's face when he was falling down. It was a look of sadness / anguish at why Tariq would do it. If it was someone like Tommy, it would be anger on his face IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,579 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

Thought the episode dragged out a bit with a hell of a lot of boring parts.
myself and the missus think it was Romona that shot him, Tate was trying to tell Ghost something about Tariq, we think it was that he found out that Tariq was asking questions about her and that Romona was Breezes sister/family member and that's why he was asking Ghost about Breezes, to make admit to the killing

Can anyone tell me who was shooting Tommy and ghost at the dockyard and why?
It looked like his uncle but it just flew over my head that scene.

I expect the next series will start off with Ghost in the shower, it was all a dream. Yawn.

    I'd be very surprised.

Id expect him to be dead and the last 5 episodes be all about who done it along with plenty of flash backs to still have him apart of the show.

That reminded me of Who Shot Mr. Burns, almost every interaction was completely out of character for him and it was clear they were setting up a whodunnit, it could have been done over a few episodes but they just had him meet with everyone in 1 episode to get motives for them all. I'd say when it comes back in Jan I'll just wait for them all to come out and then binge watch on fast forward, I expect the last 5 episodes to be a lot like who ran over Stone Cold :D:D:D

There is no next series. There's 5 episodes left in this series and that's it then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,439 ✭✭✭Homelander

I was also thinking of Who Shot Mr Burns as well. Looking forward to the show just being over at this stage, it was always far fetched to a degree but the last few seasons have been outrageously braindead (albeit entertaining). Not wild on the idea of a whodunnit for the next 5 episodes either because frankly I don't really care.

Still have fingers crossed that little **** Tariq gets clipped.

Really enjoyed this program as a whole despite the current series being the worse of the lot.

Is Ghost dead though? I seen a poster that looked real of him facing of against Tariq wearing all black and Tasha in the background looking on. It was like a promo for the future 5 episodes but I can’t find it now.

Is there a possibility he is shot but not dead? Because if he’s not, how are they going to get 5 more episodes out of just a who done it??

Also, a prequel is in the making is it not?

I'm not a fan of prequels for shows where danger/jail is a thing because you know the characters from the originals aren't going to be killed.

Rashomon is apparently a big influence on the producers and a lot speculation the last 5 episodes will follow that style
The story focuses on the murder of a samurai with readers given four different perspectives and viewpoints on the killing.

Each of these narratives conflicts with the other and the characters prove to be unreliable. In the end, the dead man reveals what happened.

Not sure how it's going to work or whether I'd trust the team behind the last two seasons to deliver something like this but meh

This can't end quick enough. I stuck with it as I'd invested a lot of time into it but it just never got beyond a 5/10 for me. Now I've got to wait till Jan!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,426 ✭✭✭italodisco

I took the shooting scene of ghost as the death of the old ghost, birth of a new reformed man type scenario .

All the talk from him about how he's done with the past etc, maybe it's as I said above and it's the birth of the new legit ghost

I started laughing when I saw they had half the cast all suddenly deciding, against character, to go and gun down Ghost at almost the exact same convenient timing. I don't think laughter was what the show runners were hoping for.

Why do you presume they're going to gun Ghost down? I half
-took it as just showing us where they all are. I think the last scene serves as a 'it could have been them' but I don't think it's any of them.

Because they all had a gun and were pissed off with Ghost and the show is as subtle as 50 Cent's view on his prowess with women.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,047 ✭✭✭Unearthly

Yes it's the cliched set up for a who done it.

I'm surprised to see it in a drama. Nowadays it's relegated to soap level writing.

I didn't realise that they'd extended it, but it might as well be the next series if it's kicking off again in January. :p

4 episodes in and its woeful, its like melrose place or something set in a crime back drop, poor acting, unbelievable characters and the writing is crap.

Surprised as it came well recommended to me and hit 6 seasons.

Does it get a lot better?

That sounds like he's talking about S1. If you think that about S1, might as well just give up now, because it only gets radically worse in that sense in later seasons.
