If you were to cut off the Jedward hairdo at the top, there's a mini Candy cab there trying to escape...

Is this what it feels like when classic car enthusiasts accidentally drive by a boy racer car meet?

Did you catch that nsfw 'Zelda' side art?? Imagine the complete neckbeard basement dweller that would have that printed on a cabinet

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,772 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Oh yeah, I like how they clearly stated they didn't design that one lol

I read this before I checked the link, and I thought nsfw Zelda art? How violently is Link skewering an enemy for it to be nsfw!?

    And then......oh

Well it might not be such a bad deal if it comes with cash when collected.

    That's it.

    Close the thread.

This is never going to be topped.

Cabinet with eight sticks, 52 buttons, and Zelda porn on the side, doesn't matter, look at the state of that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,772 ✭✭✭Jack burton

2 strong mates required for collection too.

It looks like one of those things in a spy movie where he'd pull a lever and all the fine china on the dresser swivels round to reveal his security system :P.

More Johnny English than James Bond though.

It's scary some of the mad **** people actually see to the end isn't it?

Ah no point, from original planning through to the 'Where will I place this in my living room?' did the person ever stop and think.

'Actually you know what, this is a bit ****'

It's honestly not the worst approximation of the 6 player men cab. They've got the bottom of it correct. The screen part they haven't but that it's an arrangement of 2 TVs and mirrors.

To be fair the original is a chunky monkey too. They had one in a Dublin arcade back in the wonder years and it was a big piece of kit.

It's a specialised pcb too. The regular X-Men pcb can be rom swapped between 2 and 4 players, but the 6 player is it's own thing.

I wonder why they didn't raise the monitor up a bit and have that panel at the bottom with the character sheets?

Wouldn't have made too much extra effort build wise and would have looked far better and more like the original.

Still, not a bad effort. Especially when you're trying to create something as monstrously ugly as the original!

It is a decent effort overall to be honest, it's like a large arcade 1up version of one, but the screen in it looks a disaster to play on, not sure where they were going with that.
