It's an old BMW Z3, the most expensive one on sale on carzone is €8,950 and the cheapest €1,950. Not really sure what your point is other than thinking a shit car is expensive.

A managing partner in a law firm has a car, so we shouldn't vote for her? Am I with you so far?

Sounds like a nice number. She'd hardly be in it for the money:confused:

Maybe she'll forfeit any payment due?

I doubt there are too many local councillors in the country that are in it for the money.

This is the general level of political discourse in the nation.

"This candidate has a car that looks a bit flash so must be one of those evil wealthies I keep hearing about!

I'm not voting for them, I'm voting for this salt-of-de-peeple Shinner/Independent who has no platform other than: taxes=BAD!"

Obvioulsy FG does not have a Malcolm Tucker character to advise candidates.

under 5 grand on done deal...

Shocking that someone can spend that much on a car

Well, I mean I wouldn't say no to an extra 30k (or more) plus expenses on top of my job.

I do not care what her car is incidentally. I think we can all agree it most definitely wasn't paid for via tax payers money.

Glad to see you're so impressionable OP. As others have pointed now, this car is worth feck all, a few grand max

Tell me would you have created a thread if she was driving a 141 Toyota Corolla worth over 20 grand?

I find it embarrassing that someone running for office during a period of austerity would use a sports car for their election campaign!

    Sends out the wrong message!

She also calls herself a Banking Solicitor!

That "sports car" is considerably cheaper than most family saloon cars.

But you'd have to do a tiny bit of research to know that.........

So she should buy a car just for the election.

I really don't know what your trying to get at here OP.

People have a fair few reasons to attack Fine Gael at the moment, I don't think this is one of them.

The OP is a bit silly, most FG members and supporters have far bigger cars than that. They're getting richer while the rest of us suffer.

Ya you are spot on, nothing to do with me believing in their policies, it is all about my 2002 polo that keeps bringing me back to Fine Gael...

You know nothing about my personal financial situation, don't assume anything. Nor do I have any intention of sharing that information without despite how unimpressive it may be.

No it's not, people who vote FG or are planning to must be happy with what they're doing. Others that are suffering obviously wouldn't vote FG.

I'm doing a lot worse this year than I have for a lot of years, but I'm voting FG because they are the only party that are even attempting to give the country what it needs, instead of what it wants.

True, they may be making a balls of it, bit the rest aren't even trying.

No it's not, people who vote FG or are planning to must be happy with what they're doing. Others that are suffering obviously wouldn't vote FG.

The last few years have been difficult for me, but I am voting Fine Gael because I honestly believe that the are the only one's who are actually willing to make the tough decisions to get this country back on its feet, their popularity is being decimated by it.

But we are finally starting to see things improving, and even I can see my personal situation improving.

Sure they have done some stupid things in office, but overall I will be giving them my vote as I believe that the country will be in a better situation because of them.

So I think it is very unfair to assume that people who vote Fine Gael are all wealthy and haven't been affected by the recession, its just some of us believe that they are the best way to ever getting us back on a stable path, even if we have to put up with a lot of pain along the way.

That is my own personal opinion, as you are entitled to yours, but please do not make baseless assumptions about my situation

It's a great car for the person who owns it and they probably even gave it a name. so apart from her car is she any good as a local councillor? Will the wasters of Fianna Fail do any better?

Exactly. A Sinn Fein candidate passed me by in clondalkin yesterday in an 11 reg Chevrolet Aveo . They're running from 6 - 10 grand on carzone. Clearly Sinn Fein need to be pulled from the trough in their expensive , probably chauffeur driven chevy's. :)

Whose in government, FG and Labour.

Just how are the others supposed to do anything when FG hold the power and Labour are the mudflaps?

You openly admit FG are making a balls up and yet you will give them your vote?

There is such a thing as constructive criticism... but the opposition have not been doing that, just because your not in power doesn't mean you can't make a difference.
