Yeah, if you vote FG you're not doing badly.

I didn't vote FG in the last election..... But I am considerably wealthier than you!

    This is a stupid statement.

    This is a stupid statement.

No it's not, people who vote FG or are planning to must be happy with what they're doing. Others that are suffering obviously wouldn't vote FG.

I'm doing a lot worse this year than I have for a lot of years, but I'm voting FG because they are the only party that are even attempting to give the country what it needs, instead of what it wants.

True, they may be making a balls of it, bit the rest aren't even trying.

There has always been a place for strong, no nonsense female candidates in Fine Gael. :)

The last few years have been difficult for me, but I am voting Fine Gael because I honestly believe that the are the only one's who are actually willing to make the tough decisions to get this country back on its feet, their popularity is being decimated by it.

But we are finally starting to see things improving, and even I can see my personal situation improving.

Sure they have done some stupid things in office, but overall I will be giving them my vote as I believe that the country will be in a better situation because of them.

So I think it is very unfair to assume that people who vote Fine Gael are all wealthy and haven't been affected by the recession, its just some of us believe that they are the best way to ever getting us back on a stable path, even if we have to put up with a lot of pain along the way.

That is my own personal opinion, as you are entitled to yours, but please do not make baseless assumptions about my situation

It's a great car for the person who owns it and they probably even gave it a name. so apart from her car is she any good as a local councillor? Will the wasters of Fianna Fail do any better?

Exactly. A Sinn Fein candidate passed me by in clondalkin yesterday in an 11 reg Chevrolet Aveo . They're running from 6 - 10 grand on carzone. Clearly Sinn Fein need to be pulled from the trough in their expensive , probably chauffeur driven chevy's. :)

Labour candidates have all been issued with vehicles for canvassing directly by Labour HQ.

    Eh?

Whose in government, FG and Labour.

Just how are the others supposed to do anything when FG hold the power and Labour are the mudflaps?

You openly admit FG are making a balls up and yet you will give them your vote?

Lol, you signal everything that's wrong with this country.

You get the government you vote for!

There is such a thing as constructive criticism... but the opposition have not been doing that, just because your not in power doesn't mean you can't make a difference.

when your running for election, it is important to imitate the average Joe among your electorate.. the master of this was Bertie.

Drink a few pints of beer down at the local several times a week, back horses, support Man Utd. & Dublin GAA, declare yourself a fan of U2, wear an anorak while canvasing. If your constituents see you as themselves you will win them over..
