On the CB side of things, i'd actually quite like to see Agger play RCB with Sakho LCB against Newcastle. Never seen them play together as a CB pairing.

    What happened?

Opr was involved in a spat that got taken to PM.
something happened...knowing Opr he probably called a spade, a spade.

but a permaban was dished out.

Im not going to say anymore in risk of breaking the rules.

but all-in-all he is a loss to the soccer forum.

That picture is cringe of the highest order.

Shame about opr - will be missed around here.

    ^^^ Cringe central.

Can someone pick out the mistakes from Sakho that have led to goals? It's been pointed out numerous times that his passing is top notch and he rarely loses possession. Just because he looks unorthodox doesn't mean he's shaky. No doubt in my mind, he'll be a top CB in the PL in the future.

When he plays, the whole back 4 ****s itself and at its most un-composed and dis-organised.

The biggest examples being Norwich & Crystal Palace away.

Maybe he'll come good, but to me, he's a problem at the moment. And when looking at areas that need strengthening, CB jumps out and of the three main CBs, he's our weakest

When i watched Sakho first i thought he was poor at passing and looked nervous on the ball. Watching him closer though and he rarely loses the ball, he just looks strange sometimes, its very off putting alright. I find very little fault in him.

Would/could his lack of english be the problem?

Sakho also played for the first 78 minutes against Palace. Back 4 was solid.

I've already said for me that the jury is still out when it comes to Sakho.

But whats not helping is that we don't have a really strong voice back there.

Sakho could be that and lets see what next season brings, but its too early for me to write him off

    .

    Agree it's awful.

Also players are in white change strip and picture is black and white.
The "Red" logo does not make up for it.

Sakho hasn't been at fault for any goals that I can remember. People just like to moan about him because he looks weird on the ball.

Yeah, opr shall be missed if it is a permaban.

With Agger, Skrtel, Toure, Sakho as 1st teamers and Ilori, Wisdom possibly Kelly coming through there is no way we will be getting in a CB without shifting one possibly 2 CBs.

I'd be hoping our defense might be tightened up with a tweak to the system we play rather than a personnel problem, but I'd Imagine BR would have seen it and made the change to the system by now.

A strong CB pairing should be based on a good understanding and partnership, i dont think the CBs got enough of that this season. There has been to many chops and changes at CB.

Toure and one of Skrtel/Agger may go if we sign want to sign a top CB.

I'll be hoping to see Agger and Skrtel go, one 1st team cb and a back up brought in. Then a rb. After that we can look at other area's, but they have to be addressed first.

I'd have Toure out the door long before either of Agger and Skrtel.

Still think johnson is the biggest problem in defence at the moment

Sahko just looks awkward, he has gone from strength to strength this year. The one thing he is missing is being vocal, which he was for PSG and France.
Once he gets a better handle on the language, we'll see more commanding performances from him.

Hear hear. I've had some seriously laugh out loud moments in this thread and the match threads over the last year. Thanks everyone.

Andy Heaton is reporting that Henderson has signed a new longterm contract.
