I don't hold it against him,

But he's clearly not someone whose insider knowledge can be banked on.

yea but you're also missing the point of the dates of when he mentioned such players.
days, weeks and even in some cases months before any of the media.

I mentioned it before but I think he has a family member at the club in some capacity.

    Happy Birthday Liverpool.

The club was incorporated on this day in 1892.

Respectfully disagree on that one. No ones right 100% of the time.

Of course not, but looking through his tweets I see a lot more misses than hits

    Another case in point:

Big information coming through that David Moyes will be appointed the new Spurs manager in the next week or so and Everton lining up Mcleish

He is a scout for Preston, according to his LinkedIn profile (which has a pic of him a lot like his Twitter pic). So maybe Neil Mellor is his insider??

Martin Skrtel scored more goals against top four clubs in the premier league then any other player . (I saw this on Facebook so I don't know how true it is ) .

Not even the club's knowledge can be banked on. Things can completely change in a very short space of time.

What the snippets of info do generally tell you is at least what sort of player we're looking at.

Beyond that it's a all a bit silly until they're leaning against a shed in Melwood.

Only people to trust are Ben Smith, Neil Jones and Chris Bascombe. That's about it.
And Phil McNulty, but you don't see much of him.

    Oh, and Moley.
    And Indy Kaila!

    Tony Barrett is solid.

However even the closest hacks can get it wrong through no fault of their own - Kono looked a done deal until it wasn't likewise that fella who is now at Chelsea.

Yeh, he doesn't overplay his hand either. But the BBC and Echo are the two to rely on...

If that's what you think you clearly don't know much about contracts TT. By paying a player the contracted amount each week the club is fulfilling its contracted obligations, full stop, where and when they ask him to play is entirely their discretion. Clubs would be mad to allow clauses in their contracts which allowed a player to subplot walk away if they weren't being played as often as they like or the position they like etc.

Contracts are a two way street TT, there are plenty of examples of players signing big long term contracts then (for whatever reason) losing their form e.g. David Bentley, Joe Cole etc but the club can't just walk away from them can it???

Cheers for that BT...I reckon we are on equal footing when it comes to our contract knowledge. However my point was more from an ethical stance, clubs should not expect any loyalty from players when they would just as quickly cash in/offload a player if they could.

it's not always that the hacks get it wrong either.

transfers are more complicated animals than we'd like to believe. a move could be on one minute, then change very quickly. or it can be going one direction before suddenly changing course.

of course, there is also a lot of bullshít.

my point is, just because a transfer doesn't work out, doesn't automatically make that journalist clueless or a spoofer.

I am also expecting Chelsea to have a car waiting at the airport when we fly Moreno in for the medical.

    Caulker now linked with Southampton.

    get in there.

Lovren potential signing excites me more than Lallana tbh

Not to discredit this, or stop you posting about this stuff or whatever, but anyone of us could have come up with this rumour based off the back of stuff we've heard thus far.

Doesn't take any huge amount of thought, and it works as its believable.

Pinch of salt, and all that.

He's clearly a replacement for Dani Alves, similar to how Kroos will turn out for United at LB...

Fair enough but it's not a big jump to think that Caulker will be Loverns replacement, especially with the rumours of Lovern being close to complete for us.

also some Southampton blogs suggesting Caulker was spotted and completed a medical today.

That thread is even worse than twitter, it was a random poster passing on info with no pic, links or ITK track record!
