Really hot outside today, it's times like this when I wish my car had air con. That air blower thing blows nothing but hot air (except when it's cold outside, then it does the opposite).

Anyway, I'm going home today and all of a sudden the car starts to pull to left a bit and I was wondering, is that wind? And then bang... some weird noise and I look out the window, some plastic piece flies away from my car.

I stopped to look what it was and this is what I saw... it seems like a piece just melted off!?

Small report on the 5er, paint is faded slightly, but not badly, nothing a good valet/detail won't fix, not enough power to turn over but there was to test the electrics. Windows were fine, radio wouldn't start but probably due to low power, 1 warning light and that's the ABS, probably just a sensor. All the cubby hole yokes worked fine. Will hopefully get to test it running in the next few days.

A/C seemed to work fine but was only blowing mildly cold air, probably due to the engine being off. Reckon I could get it for circa €300 :)

The cordoba, by a small margin. There has to be another option?

TBH, there are a lot of better alternatives out there for the same, and even cheaper money..

A Corolla or VW Polo would be top of my list.

    What's your budget?

Seen pressed german plates being put on a car today, with normal brass screws, not even any caps or anything....sigh...

It's the stuff like that carry on that annoys me

There's a woman on the tv looking at houses, everywhere she goes, "oh i can really imagine us doing something here" Well I can really imagine you shutting up! :pac:

I got one of the driveshafts ready to be taken out, my wrist and elbows are killing me

    I'll await the jokes :P

Got wax on my door seals a few weeks ago. Squeaking like mad since and driving me nuts. Noticed halfords was open this evening when I passed so I've a quiet car again. My sanity is restored.

Saw a can of that stuff in Woody's today as well. I was looking for electrical stuff cleaner, which I didn't find. I want to clean the MAF sensor on the Bora.

Its gotta be something home-done, matte black seems the easiest and best so far.

    Matte white?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,880 ✭✭✭Kaiser D

    Matte white?

We've literally just gone through a list of every possible colour, in matte.

    White seems too "modern"
