My brother used to call me Li for short - and he would say Hi Li.... (when he was in cracking form he used to say Hi Li Rated!!) so Highly is Hi Li and the 1111 is because Highly was taken!

Irish for "Bog garden" or "Turf garden". Name of field on farm where we built our house, so called because it had lots of springs and was quite soft. Thought it was a lovely name for a field - a lot better in Irish than in English - and, as we usually have no choice on our birth name, I thought it would be an opportunity to pick a nice "Boards" name.

Some posters on boards.ie have wrongly taken it to be female, presumably because it ends in "a".

Good question. Eggy is my nickname irl because of my second name. Baby goes nicely with Eggy so I put it in there. Then an exclamation mark for some reason.

A small provinicial town where I broke my anal-sex cherry was used in a TV ad for butter. The whole butter/brando/anal sex thing made me think of Paris, which of course Rick and Ilsa would always have. And as everyone knows Paris is the city of Romance and February 14th is the most romantic day of the year. But February is also given an extra day every four years in what is known as a leap year. Quantum Leap was one of my favourite TV shows as a kid and Kids was one of my least favourite movies of the 90's. Joe's 90's was a covers album by Joe Dolan, a man who indulged in a bit of anal sex himself in a small provinicial town but the identity of his partner was a mystery. He was, essentially, anonymous. But Joe was strongly rumoured to be gay so his partner was most likely a boy.

Hence AnonoBoy.

I was planning on opening a restaurant at the time. I'm a pretty good cook and have worked in hospitality for about 15 years in several countries. The restaurant I wanted to start was to be rather specialized with a surprising variety of one single dish, really. Curious? lol

So I was looking for all the advise and background info about starting a business I could possibly get and in that endeavour I joined here. The name of the restaurant was to be SimplyBAM - so there ye go!

Ok, the one single dish which I intended to serve in a variety that many of you would most likely find impossible to imagine was simply Bangers And Mash.

Had the menu sorted, priced and all (14 different kinds of mash and 12 different kinds of sausages) and every meal for a tenner.

Just couldn't find the right place for the right price so that was the end of that.

Come to think of it, maybe I'll post my famous (in my extended circle of friends and acquaintances anyway) mash recipes in the cooking section later.
