Sometimes I think I should avoid this thread. Makes me sad when I compare some of your cars with mine. :( :pac:

After so many years I am about to put it up for sale. I should give it a wash before taking the pictures, though.

Funny you say that! I don't find the mondeo to be a wide car at all! What one gets used to I suppose.

well in todays standards no, it's not a wide car at all, but if you compare it to a 90's BMW, or a very low E36 in perticular, well then its a tank.

Even the parking spots, Yb's car has tons of space in that spot where as the mondeo and avensis look like theyre quite near each line.

Parking spots haven't adapted to modern cars. It's why I always park at the back of car parks if I can't get parent/child spots.

The hospital in tallaght being one the worst offenders incredibly tight car park in general.

I try that too but I could park on the moon and there would still be someone parked right close beside me when I came back.

I'm convinced that happens because people are so inept at parking between the lines that instead of trying the judge it off your car despite the fact there's a hundred free spaces around.

It's the only reasoning u can come up with.

Fcuk it just have a child parent/child spots ftw.

Wouldn't bother me to be honest. I would absolutely never park in a disabled space, but a child and parent spot... wouldn't think twice about it. Its just some crap supermarkets came up with

Well then maybe he's not an absolute dickhead, and he's someone who respects the safety of children.

Spoken like someone who doesn't have a child.

It really not some crap you try get a child or a child seat out of a car when someone had parked two inches away from your car and see how crap it is. Hate people who park in them without kids.

It's also the reason I never park beside someone with a child seat in the back of there car in a normal car park I don't trust them or there kids not to wallop my car.

So I'm an absolute dickhead? Cheers! Safety of children? How the f** do you figure a child and parent spot is safer for children?

Because usually they are located closer to the entrance to allow shorter walking distance to the car. This prevents children from running through car parks where there is a large risk of running in front of a car unnoticed.

I really wish that there was a thin, sturdy protective barrier between car park spaces or at least something that eliminated dings or any damage caused to a car by another.

People parking in disabled/family spots that have no reason to is something that is far too common in Ireland. Anytime I am sitting in a car park waiting on someone it happens constantly. But sure it's not going to change, it's handy to park closer to the door and that's all some people care about. Anyway, here's a photo of the car to stay on topic:

One last quick snap of the Celica while it's clean. Gave it a good coat of jetseal last night and I predict that that will be the last wash the car will get for at least 2 months while at the moment i'm doing around 600+ miles a week in it!

    Nice colour really suits it..
