Only the E300 is a parts car in the pics! :D

I have another C220 as a parts car and the father has a W126 parts car. All except one W126 drive :)

Such a nice feeling to have more working cars than wrecks cough cough Alfas :p

Car is fully winter ready now! Uniroyal winter tyres on the old racing hart forged wheels. Car tracked and cambered just right... small bit of toe out to add some steering feel and weight.

Have to say the winter tyres are well worth the cash! Their performance on cold wet roads is outstanding... grip never gives up. And if understeer does happen its very progressive and controllable.

Dealt with the icy roads on a recent trip to Mayo with sure footed stability. Aquaplaning on the motorway is practically non existent (a big problem on a car as light as this) Well recommended.

Go on so. Cleanest it had been in 2014 and all thanks to Larry.

Love this muppet check! Rear end is just so right. How does it drive?

The LED lights on the back make it for me. I've got a spoiler to get painted and onto it at some stage too. Goes well for what it is, solid, quiet. No complaints from me.

900 Euro for six months of road tax?! Seriously? I've not lived in Ireland for a number of years and I remember road tax being a joke (well mostly the auld fella complaining about it), but is that seriously how much you have to pay? How big is the engine in that thing, improv?

It's a 2006 5L petrol. As Voodoomelon and MetzgerMeister have said, 1809 per year in tax.

    It must be a 325 or a 328 OOOOOOOR, it's a 316 and it's getting a turbo 2.0.

    Edit: 325 or 323. :p

323i, 2.5 6cyl. Probably the most fun car I've ever driven!!
I'm blown away and will never stray to a diesel again!!

    The noise!

    Awesome car, YB.

Was it not you who said E36's aren't as awesome as E30 and E34 though?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,480 ✭✭✭YbFocus

Honestly it drives amazing, going to be my most fun road car ever!
€1300 with test until late July.
Needs a couple of bits like a piece of trim on the front and rear bumper and a new back box.

Other than that it's really tight, had it on the lift and its all great underneath!

    I don't think I said that but if I did I'm an idiot :D

I'll get a few daytime pics tomorrow!

    Well savage, man!
I'll have to see it sometime.

I've driven a 318is pretty hard before but it wasn't mine and was quite broken when I jumped in so I never got a full taste. Still, it felt like it had the potential to be a great car!

    Definitely man!

Diff is welded, its not too harsh at all and perfectly driveable but I reckon I'll swap out for a standard one!

That thing handled like a go-kart but this has the go to take off once the road straightens :)
The embarrassment of the Focus will never leave me!
