Quality service from DetailingShed as usual, looking forward to trying the mitt and shampoo. I assume the Reset will suit Serum Light as well as CarPro's ceramics?

I can only assume the reset will be fine.
It is a lovely shampoo and very little in the bucket gives plenty of suds with no residue left behind after rinsing.

Ah yeah, but if it's okay for Serum it's good for EXO :P

But the serum isn't the active layer so it's not coming into contact with anything only the paint and EXO.

Yeah but my point is that if it'd be OK for Serum it'll be perfect for EXO too :P

Cant see there being any issue with using CarPro Reset on the Gtechniq coatings - its a straight up shampoo (with no enhancers), so there is nothing that might cause clogging of the nano structure! ;)

A big no-no when it comes to any nano coatings would be using a wash/wax type product I would think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Curran

Well its not ideal, but it wont ruin it either. The enhancers in the shampoo would clog the structure, but it will still offer protection, just not the same performance in its ability to stay cleaner longer, beading, ease of cleaning, etc. Its possible to rejuvenate the coating by using the specific maintenance products from the manufacturer.

Gtechniq have a rejuvenator for C1 which is C2V3 but not for EXO as far as I know. With that said it would't do any harm to apply C2V3 over EXO.

Tried out all the above today, seriously impressed! Already knew the Dry Me Crazy was quality but the Mitt is by far the best I've used anyway!

I washed the car this morning, then dried it. Before I got into the house it started raining. Fair enough. Few hours later it was dry, went outside to go to the shop and it was covered in bird shıt. So got the hose out when it was still fresh and washed it off. Went to the shop and when I came out of the shop it was clattered in shıt again. The wee feckers must be laughing at me.

Hi guys - I'm nearly out of snow foam, been using a 5L bottle of Chemical Guys Honeydew for years so this is a 2/3 year investment :P

I'm interested in the Magifoam, (Dave not sure if you can get it as not on the site) but open to other suggestions that people have used...

My personal advice is stay away from amgifoam
Guaranteed to choke up your lance.

One of two for me at the moment,

    Bilt Hamber snow foam

Valet pro PH Neutral snow foam.

    Both very good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,920 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

I've used Meguiars Hyperwash which is mainly a shampoo but it's their snowfoam also and Gtechniq citrus foam.

No prizes for which of those 2 I would go with!

I found that Magifoam stripped away the best performance of my wax after 3 washes. Perhaps they have changed the formula since.

As mentioned Bilt Hamber Auto Foam is very good...it's the best combo of all things when considering factors when buying a snowfoam....price / cleaning performance / being wax safe.

Been using the Valet pro PH Neutral snow foam on the recommendation from Vectra and its very good!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 853 ✭✭✭edburg

I use magifoam for last year does what it says on tin, I have used in conjunction with there wax and nano sealants.

Maybe there better than Curran's wax (walks away whistling innocently) lol

Can't go wrong with Bilthamber though only changed as fancied a change.

Used CG honeydew more soapy water than foam I thought, just use it as a spare shampoo for crappy jobs.
