Very close to pulling the trigger on a pressure washer. I live in an apartment block but I've decided instead of faffing around with a battery powered piece of cr@p, I'm going to get a Karcher K4, and use the suction hose attachment to pull water from a large container and just run a very long extension cord.

Does anyone have experience of doing this that they want to share?

Also, has anyone ordered from KarcherOutlet.co.uk? They look to be a great deal on official refurbs. No delivery to Ireland but should be able to Parcel Motel it.

Is there no power outlet near where your car is parked that you could use rather than having to run a long extension cable?

I looked at them a while back and it was mainland UK delivery only, which would rule out Parcel Motel. I also think the package was too big for An Post's UK collection service.

Nope, I've hunted! Have asked the building to install an external plug and an external tap which would help, but I don't know when they'll get round to it.

Right now I'm on the first floor, so it'll be out the window, and about 15/20 metres out to the car parking space.

The bigger pain is going to be getting the water downstairs, but having a power washer will be better than running up and down with buckets as I am now.

The idea behind getting a normal power washer over a portable one like the Worx one is that in the future if there is an exterior tap/plug things just get easier. I'm sick of going to a jet wash, and buying multiple 3 minute sessions, then hogging the wash for ages trying to a proper pre wash, decon etc

They do NI delivery for an extra £5.
It'd be a big parcel for Parcel Motel, but seems like they'll handle large parcels for an extra fee.

Use Parcel Wizard, ( DPD ) delivered to your door.

As for the extension lead, I use a 50 foot one all the time ( Made it myself with trailing plug/socket )so I would have no worries about that, would it not be possible to use a 50 foot hose out the window as well?

I'd have to attach it to the tap if that was doable?

To be honest, I never even considered it. I would have thought that the water pressure would be a disaster?

My hose and extension cable run the same distance to my washer.
    Never had an issue.
Granted I fitted an outdoor tap to the rear of my house.

I get the 5 litre drum from bilthamber.com along with an empty bottle for it. It's worth just buying the 5 litre and refilling each time as it saves the hassle of having to order another 1 litre each time.

Think Reflect do it as well. There shipping is only about 6 quid which isn't bad at all tbh.

No experience with the pen. I got the standard starter kit.

Pen looks like it could do the job for you.

    Howdy foljs

Having given up on car ownership a couple if years ago - living and working in the City Centre I've now gone down the route of a motorbike. I went to buy some cleaning stuff, fallout remover, degreaser etc etc only to find detailingshed gone. Where is the best place to buy now? I always liked the chemical guys and bilt hamber stuff

    D & D in Cork
    Block51 in Northern Ireland
    Cleanyourcar.co.uk
    in2detailing.co.uk
    adbl.ie

Since you have a bike I would suggest you invest in a Metro Blaster Sidekick. It's made for blasting water from hard to reach areas and areas that would be impossible to reach with a cloth.

Can anyone tell me if this snow foam lance fits this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Demon-Motorsport-Snow-Foam-Lance-Karcher-Nilfisk-Bosch-Lavor-Vax-Parkside-M22/361647483010?hash=item5433dea882:m:mj1mPiaKZAjngrfTdmMoDNw

It's a Parkside PHD 150 C2 that my father bought a while ago in Lidl that's been collecting dust in his shed. I believe Parkside are just re-branded Lavor units.

Below is the jet lance connector thats currently on the power washer

And this is what it connects to

    Thanks, lads.

Autoglym super resin polish is some stuff. Wifes car was full of hand prints from suncream and kids. No amount of washing would remove them so I tried the autoglym today and it worked wonders.

Put some wax over it now to protect it if you haven't already.

Spent yesterday doing the interior of the car, done a deep clean and extraction on the carpet with Valet Pro carpet cleaner, took the front seats out. Used Geyon leather cleaner on the seats, kind of ashamed the amount of dirt that came off them. Cleaned the plastics with reflect auto car apc and dressed with CG VRP. Ideal weather for leaving the carpet dry out
