Tesco doing decent 4 bottles for 10€ deal now

This includes 660ml bottles of peroni and Heineken

So best value I'd 4*660ml Peroni for 10€

They are both great value and that's the 5% Heineken, nicer than the regular cans.

Happy enough with a 700ml bottle of Jameson and 12 cans of Hop House all for €26 with my €6 SuperValu voucher

Careful with the heineken 5%. It's like rocket fuel compared to the normal stuff.

Bought 2 slabs of Guinness (well, 48 cans, as a slab wasn't a single item offer I could select) online in Tesco for €56 along with a few of their wine offers.

48 single cans arrived along with a load of single bottles of wine, although I'd ordered 12 of some and 6 of others.

Assumed I'd get 2 slabs and a couple of boxes of wine. Nope.

I'd tipped your man a fiver when he knocked at the door, before I saw the state of me order, so thankfully he let me keep one of the blue trays to lug the Guinness out into the shed :D

I was just looking at this massive pile of booze on the front step hoping the neighbours weren't looking out the window!

Covid-19 related issues I'd say. I've been disappointed recently as well but still managed to walk out with a trolley of stuff.

Yeah even before that hit, LIDL were getting unreliable with advertised deals on wine e.g. wine of the week, or weekend deals. Either they didn't have the stock (weekend deals), or they'd have it and not think to restock the tiny shelf space allocated (wine of the week).

Has anyone seen offers on slabs of 24x Coors 500ml cans anywhere? They are rarely on offer most of the time :(

    Now!
I assume Lidl was waiting to see what price the competitors for the 24

Jayz, better have the ambulance on standby if you ever try an IPA so :pac:

On-topic - Caskmates for €25 in Tesco is excellent value, it's usually €39 in Dunnes or €35 on "offer"! The stout one is the one to get, imho, didn't think much of the IPA one, not at all bad but I'd prefer ordinary Jameson to it.

Tesco also have 8x500mL cans of Hop House 13 for €12 which is decent value, the normal price of it is way ott for what it is.

I didn't even look at the slab deals as I was on foot... :(

There was a letter in the Irish Times last week along the lines of, "the bottle bank has become an open air confessional without a curtain":pac:

Last night in my local Tesco they were something entirely stupid like €2.29 each, do they honestly expect any takers at that price?

    Life ain't always empty.
