Am really liking the Guinness West Indies Porter. Got few bottles in lidl at just under €3 a bottle so it’s not crazy cheap or anything, but is a nice change to drink Guinness straight from the bottle. It reminds me a bit of Ireland over 50 years ago even though I wasn’t born then.

I think you can get 4 of them for a tenner in tesco

As another poster said it can normally be picked up for 4 for €10

If you like that one give Guinness foreign export a try. I think it’s 7.5% so a bit stronger but very nice too. Tesco normally do offers on it too. My locally off licence does 5 bottles for €11.

The West Indies stuff is lovely alright.

At one stage Obriens were doing 5 of that line of guinness for a tenner. I doubt it's still going.

The Milk Stout is also lovely.

Yes it’s a really nice blend. Close to Red Breast re: taste

The Roe and Co whiskey is a great price. What whiskey does it compare with. I see it has honey vanilla and fruit notes so Is it like a Crested?

I wouldn't compare Caskmates to redbreast, other than in reference to the fact that they're both whiskeys, but everyone tastes something different I suppose.

Yea Roe & Co is very sweet & probably comparable to crested, Roe & Co definitely the sweeter of the two.

Not like Crested, which is strong on the sherry flavours.
I haven't tasted anything similar to Roe and Coe with the strong vanilla\sweetness aspect.
