That's a fking disaster for the Sharks. Fell asleep a couple of times there.

    This is fantastic to watch.

Hope the Highlanders can tighten their set piece and keep playing the way they are in the loose.

Well syd, 17-13 to the Highlanders at half time! One team has the forwards, the other has the backs.

Hopefully we can pull this off...

Thanks for the updates lads, on valentia right now, mobile data is like gold dust here.

Oh and swiwi, Iifstayed around to watch it while the rest of the crew went on hols, the better half would be filing the papers as we speak ;)

Valencia is great! If HLs setpiece can hold their own, a win is possible. The Sharks are not really a side that score 5-pointers except from the maul.

20-13, just over 30 mins left.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

Looks like a classic try by the Sharks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,461 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Highlanders should have just grounded it. Great work at scrum time by the Sharks

And the HLs scrum disentegrates, and the Sharks player falls on the ball. An early Xmas present really.

Feck, I assume sharks playing 10 man game in the second half?

Usain Bolt scores for the Sharks. Nicely taken, and poor defence from the Otago lads.

Serious gas there, 25-20 to the Sharks. Sharks wearing down the Highlanders

20-25 Syd. Highlanders have no scrum, but now Coltman is on, so we see.

Sharks kicking game is atrocious. Reinach has been really poor today. 27-25 Highlanders.

A beautiful offload, and Burleigh dots down. Conversion to come to restore the lead!

Sick offload from the highlanders Zebo, took the comms a while to realise it actually happened

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,461 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Lovely offload. Highlanders are great to watch with ball in hand. Highlanders winning 27-25.

If the Sharks keep kicking the ball back into the centre of the park, they will lose this game. Some lethal HLs backs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

Sharks are so sloppy in the Highlanders 22. They have blown multiple potential tries.

Deysel knocks on with tryline at his mercy.

Big scrum now for the Highlanders on their 5

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

    Scrum absolutely minced there.

Sharks scrum churns out another penalty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,461 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Game over, 31-27 to the Sharks. Hard luck to the Highlanders.

Hard luck Syd. Highlanders were brilliant in effort, and the backline sublime, but lacked a tight 5, especially at the scrum. As a Crusaders fan, not worried, the Crusaders have a pack to match the Sharks, and with Read, Carter and Nadolo should be able to cross the whitewash.

Feck, ah well.... not the ten point difference the bookies had it.
Onward and upward for next year. The areas to work on are clear for all see.

Sharks should be more suited to the Crusaders than the Highlanders (relative to the Crusaders being a better team). Not a very inventive team. Won with 14 last time. They're underdogs but should be able for it.

Great game but I would have preferred to meet Highlanders rather than the Sharks - hopefully they'll be jet lagged. Imagine how good Highlanders could if they had a scrum. :D

I hate three of the semi-finalists so hopefully the Waratahs can pull off a surprise.

What, just so that Crusaders can whip them in the final? :D
