With overground services still running and the tube not completely out of service, seems ridiculous that this would be off.

Fulham should be docked points if they cancel the fixture. Theres an overground train station thats a 15min walk to the ground.

Pretty sure I'm the only one on here looking for the game to get called off.

Don't think there's much of a probability of it being postponed but I would be extremely happy to just have to tell Sturridge he is benched.

The badness in me is hoping it's off just to piss off the trigger happy managers bringing in Sterling & Sturridge today.. ( Same trigger happys are going to cost me another 0.1 tonight for Hazard so that's were that is coming from)

Leaning in favour of banking my transfer. Could really do with 2 FT's going into next week to prepare for the madness of GW28/29. I was planning on getting rid of Sagna for Azpilicueta, Skrtel or Olssen, but none are guaranteed clean sheets and Arsenal could hold United goalless at Emirates. They'll be looking to tighten up after the Liverpool game. I think using your transfer this week is equivalent to taking a 4 point hit.

So banking it would give me 2 free transfers to use after the FA results are known, and would also give the option of doubling up on Arsenal defence against Sunderland (H) and Stoke (A) in the run up. On top of this, if Liverpool manage to beat Arsenal again in the FA Cup AND Southampton beat Sunderland then I'll have the two defenders for their juicy Swansea (H) tie in GW29. Odds on to keep a clean sheet there!...

You have me with the transfer guilt! I was with ya on the double arsenal defenders and had intended to get rid this week and already pulled the trigger for Distin which will hopefully pay off short term. I was tempted to hold off but went ahead last night, but if I'd read this and looked more closely at Arsenals fixtures after tomorrow I may have banked.

The potential of having 2 Arsenal defs home to Swansea in a decimated GW29 old be nice.

I'd like if it was off too, only have Suarez and everyone (well almost :) ) has him, it's the people with S a S a S or S who would suffer big. :D

I'd be so screwed if it was off.. :o

-4 done and it's looking likely I won't have a bench for this GW

    *insert expletive here*

Hazard will be rising again tonight  Well what's another .1 at this stage. I hate people sometimes, how on earth is it not possible to wait an extra day?!

Hopefully they all own Studge and that game is called off! Bah being bitter is all I have left this season :pac:

An absolute disgrace if it is called off and it's quite easy to see what they are at. They don't fancy playing an in-form Liverpool team who have had an extra days rest and are chancing their arm. The FA will no doubt buy it.

In a bit of a pickle:
    Front 8 are:
    Lallana, Mata, Yaya, Hazard, Sterling.
    Benteke, Dzeko, Suarez.

I need to bench one. Question is: which one? I feel like Sterling will be buoyed after two against Arsenal, but I don't know who to bench in his place. My feeling is it'll be Benteke or Dzeko, but both do have the capacity to score.
(Presuming of course that the Pool/Fulham game goes ahead.)

Tough one, if you're set on Sterling then I would possibly bench Dzeko purely because he isn't guaranteed the minutes and I would fancy Benteke to score against ...but it's a risk.

If it was me, I would probably leave Sterling out, but that's hard to do after last weekend.

Januzaj -> Sterling for a 4 point hit? Worth it?

No because you pretty much need him to score a goal to make that transfer worthwhile, Sterling doesnt score many and is a poor finisher and that's coming from a Liverpool fan. Do it next week for free.

As a relative newbie (first season) on this forum, I would say it's well worth your time to spend a few minutes reading the threads, the GW transfer, GW matchday and General thread... You'll pick up a lot of useful tips and info!

And will save you having any thoughts of bringing Yaya in before we knew the FA decision or Sterling before there's a 3pm decision on the game to go ahead.

I only said it as it may save silly mistakes and reading the general info is worth points in itself.

    Edit: Hold that transfer

One of the unions have cancelled I just read. Other unions involved so if they follow suit, strike would be off and game goes ahead.

If the game still ends up cancelled after me hearing the strike was 100% off from various sources I will legitimately smash things.

Here is my mid and forward lines

    Any suggestions for improvement
    Doing really badly

    Miralles Lallana Oscar Carzola Eriksen

    Lambert Suarez Dzeko

The problem is that I'm not set on Sterling, but he has before gone on a few game run of getting points. But he is terribly inconsistent. On the other hand, Dzeko isn't a sure-starter, they haven't exactly got many goals the last two games, and Sunderland have been defensively sound for a bit.

BUT if ever there was a week for them to bounce back, it's this week--and Dzeko is quite consistent when he starts. (I doubt Jovetic or whatever his name is will start the game.)

    You see the problem? :p

Thats the problem, untill the RMT confirm they have canceled their action, their could still be closures and reduced service.

Pretty much worked out my rivals team for the gameweek, just haven't figured out his captain yet - Suarez or Hazard. He'll be fielding the same 11 as me bar the three below:

Marshall: Aston Villa (H)....vs....Mignolet: Fulham (A)
Zabaleta: Sunderland (H)..vs....Azpilicueta: West Brom (A)
    Yaya: Sunderland (H).......vs....Eriksen: Newcastle (A)

My three home players vs his three away. I'm definitely fav to score higher, although this game rarely plays out as it should! Global ranking has become somewhat secondary this season, I've never had a rival in any of my private leagues that's been ahead post Christmas. This is more down to their sh*tness rather than my superiority! Has been enjoyable to have a decent contest this season, and if I do end up closing the gap I'll likely finish in the top 2k/3k anyway.

Definitely banking my transfer tonight as we'll both be fielding Mertesacker. City game is massively important now, hope they hammer them (to nil)! A Fulham goal would be beautiful, not expecting anything from Marshall.

I'm going the other way mate. I'm thinking of bringing Sturridge IN. I brought Giroud in two weeks ago and left him in my team. I planned on dumping him, but thought he might be worth a punt against a leaky United defence.

With Winston Reid back fit, Collins is not guaranteed to start! We'll find out tonight before the deadline. I'll be bringing in a West Ham defender myself. Reid or Tomkins. I'd think Collins is the most likely to be dropped for Reid.

As I said all will be revealed later on, about 6:45

Sturridge got a hat trick against Fulham last fixture. Could be a good captains pick.

Sturridge is in around the top 5 for goals per game in europe. You'd be nuts to get rid of him!
Regardless of whether you have Suarez or not i think he's a must-have.

edit: just noticed you say you'd be getting him in. That's the right idea.

James Collins? West Ham have a couple of home games and have been doing well defensively.

FWIW, I had Collins earlier in the season and he lost his place before injuries allowed him win it back.
