reports on twitter are that ramsey is out for 4-6 weeks for anyone that hung onto him.

I'm considering banking my transfer now with Lallana doing the biz for me. Alternatively I may make a defensive switch.

Is Coleman likely to make this GW?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

yeah i had been keeping money to get ramsey in but might use that now to get evans in, but can't really see united keeping a cs at stoke so might hold off til the week after. see how prices go and also any late deals in the transfer window might sway my thinking.

not sure, from what i heard he had a chance of making it tonight but obviously didn't so you'd be hoping the extra few days will see him fit for the weekend.

prob won't know anymore until martinez does his press conference thurs or fri.(unless he gave anything away after the match tonight? i turned it off)

Thibkkng about Suarez out Sturridge in. Would be a big risk but it could pay off nicely!

Okay with Ramsey out 4-6 weeks and Lukaku misfiring I'm thinking this (4 point hit):
    Hazard - Mata
    Ramsey - Mirallas
    Lukaku - Giroud/Benteke

    Alternatively I could do:
    Hazard - Mata
Ramsey - Wilshere (who should be back)
    Lukaku - Sturridge
    Thoughts???

Not having Arsenal attacking cover isn't looking so bad now if Cazorla is injured.

The Arsenal midfield is falling apart. Walcott and Ramsey out. Cazorla maybe out. Flamini red carded.

I certainly wouldn't be expecting a big score vs a very organised Palace at the weekend.

Hmmm... That's a good point. I'm tempted to do Ozil -> Mata now before the price rise...

Have to assess Coleman too... I'm gonna lose £0.1m on him tonight. Have 2 FT to play with this week. But I don't see any obvious replacement. Have Azpi, Sagna, Gabbidon and Chester. If Coleman is out I'm in real trouble defense-wise for the next GW. I see 3 options.
    1. Sell Chester for a cheapie. Norwich, WH and Swansea have favourable fixtures. Keep Coleman (I could always play Gabbidon away to Arsenal) and swallow the £0.1m drop. He should be back soon anyway...
    2. Sell Coleman for a bigger target. If I exclude teams not playing in GW28 I'm left with... Arsenal (but after CP home Arsenal play Liverpool and MU so not sure doubling up is wise) or Spurs...
    3. Sell Coleman for a cheapie and keep the cash to upgrade Colback (later) to a better midfielder in the perspective of GW28.
    What do you guys think?

    --- edit ---

    Got Mata in.

Well depending on what the story is with Cazorla and anything that happens tomorrow I'd be looking at banking my transfer too.

But plans are there to be broken.

I'd go with option 1. Sell Chester for another cheapie.

Need to get rid of Ramsey
    Mannone, McGregor

    Bennett, Gabbidon, Coleman, Mertesacker, Bruce

Yaya Toure, Ramsey, Hazard, Mata, Jedinak

    Adebayor, Suarez, Aguero
    £7.6m to spend, thoughts?

Lallana. But wait until he drops in price tonight.

Think I might do Cabaye to Mirallas, just have 7.2 to work with and can't see any better options..?

Lallana. But wait until he drops in price tonight.

Can't believe he's dropping tonight, he's been playing really well and getting good points.

Gonna ditch Turner or Coleman this week. I'm thinking Flanagan or a West Ham defender for Turner if Coleman recovers in time.

They are on the shortlist in my mind alright, want to hear other opinions before I influence people's thinking with my own thoughts. Hoping to hear ideas different to my own and the merit behind the thinking

I knew he was dropping tonight and still brought him in with the WC. Those 10 points and the promising fixtures to come is certainly worth the .1 loss.

Why so many people ditched him I don't know but it must have been the Mata effect to some extent especially with so many tied up with Yaya and Hazard

If I may add, both Southampton and Tottenham have a favourable fixtures list for the next 6 games ;)

SOU: ful, HUL, sto, whm, LIV, cpl
TOT: hul, EVE, new, nor, CAR, che

    (key: away, HOME)

They're both good options. Lallana is Southamptons best player and most of their attacks go through him, They're a good counter attacking team so should do well in those away games against those weaker teams. I haven't seen much of Eriksen but he's been getting good points lately. Toss a coin ;)

Good transfer even though hes done nothing for the 2 times I've had him! Seems to be hitting good form and although Liverpool won 4-0 he stood out for Everton attacking wise. Lukaku likely to be out awhile too might make Mirallas even more of a threat.

Was hoping to bank the transfer but now I'll have to go Ramsey -> Lallana

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,009 ✭✭✭kronsington

Have two transfers for the weekend.. Was thinking of ditching Baines to a def around 5.2 and upgrading one of Eriksen to either cazorla or mata. Any thoughts?

Or upgrade one of my donkey defenders!

As a West Ham fan, I'd avoid their defence. It's a minefield over the next few weeks. Reid is the only one guaranteed a start when he returns in bout 2 weeks. Other than that...
Goalkeeper - Adrian looks to have displaced Yussi, but is one mistake away from being ditched
Center Half - Tompkins looks the preferred option, but Collins starts against teams with a target man
Right back - Demmel should start, but McCarthy seems to be a favorite of Big Sam
Left back - Rat and O'Brien haven't been fit at the same time this year so not sure who is first choice.

All of the above are due back in the next week or two.

I'm going to have to take a hit, because injuries are mounting.

Lukaku, Ramsey, and Chester are my long term injuries, with Coleman hopefully not far off a return.

    Already did Lukaku -> Sturridge.

I only have 1 FT so I'll be looking at a 4 point hit at least, but possibly more because there is no obvious replacement for Ramsey for 7.3. I'd have to downgrade Adnan to a 4.8 and an 8-point hit to get Lallana in.

Ramsey for (have only 7.2m to spend) which of the following:
Morales (could expect a backlash after yesterday),
Henderson(have Suarez don't really want any more Liverpool players)
or Johnson (have Manone, Evans,Mata and Aguero, so worried about week 29.
    Or any other suggestions.

Had thot of Silva&Giroud out and Ramsey&Sturrdige in..Now that Ramsey's out for some time..Wondering whom to replace him with.

Also why whittaker dint play this GW..Not that i play him usually but due to injuries had to rely on him would have been handy points.

Anyone changing Suarez to Sturridge to free up cash to get Mata?

Either one of Terry or Suarez will have to go for me to do it. I've had Terry since early doors so it would be a permanent axing most likely. I'm leaning towards Terry and Cabaye out, Mata and Kolo Toure in...

Transferred in Sterling and Baines for Januzaj and Skrtel. Was gonna get rid of Coleman but their fixtures are still favourable and he should be back soon enough. First time having Baines this year, but hes like a midfielder anyhow so was worth the point hit imo. Problem is, I try to be unbiased with this fpl craic but now I have 3 Liverpool attackers:o Good form though

Gamble alright but Baines is like a midfielder. Hogs the bps too. Coleman, has fair bit of ownership still and I got him at 5.6 so technically I've banked that profit (even if he drops another 0.1/2)

I've Coleman too since day 1. Hoping he is back within a week or I'll have a decision to make

Anyone any ideas on what to do here?

I have 2FTs and zero in the bank. Only thing I can really see to do is shift Lucas to someone who plays (was thinking El Ahmadi).

Unfortunately need to dump Ramsey. Only 7.1 to spend and nobody catching my eye.

More than likely looking at Wilshere as he doesn't seem to have a long term injury. Their midfield is screwed at the moment though. Worries me a little bit.

Otherwise BenArfa. Chelsea and Tottenham on the way though with Remy and Cabaye gone. Unpredictable, but wouldn't expect more than 2 or 3 points.

Could bring in Sterling. Thought he did well against Everton last night.

Anyone else? Send me your recommendations ;)

See the link above Standard think Wilshere will make the weekend. 7.1 is an annoying amount so many options within .5m more but not much for 7.1 or less! If you are expecting 2 or 3 points from Ben Arfa you may as well just save the cash and get someone for 5m. Ki is good for 2 or 3 points and has shown he can well chip in with a double digit score.
