I like to smother toast with beans with cheese melted over them. The toast goes nice and soggy.

I also like them thrown over potato croquettes and chicken dippers. All 3 mashed up on the plate. Mmmm

Full of sugar and carbs more like! ;)

I like them in brought to the boil in the pot. Add a splash or two of vinegar and stir. Serve alongside some meaty white grilled fish. Profit.

Two slices of white batch bread toasted nearly to burn level.

Let them cool and then lash on butter so it's kinda lumpy and doesn't melt fully.

    Apply beans.

Baked beans are vile muck. It's not just an opinion but an empirical fact.

    You're all deluded.

  • Registered Users Posts: 35,954 ✭✭✭✭Larianne

Are you talkin about beans in tomato sauce from a can fried? WTF? Thats the same as putting them in a saucepan!

    Refried beans...nom nom nom

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,380 ✭✭✭✭Banjo String

I almost always Fry my beans.

When I'm having a cooked breakfast (sausages /rashers and such) beans are the last thing I'll put in the pan.

Boiling them or nuking them doesn't compare.

Beans are disgusting. At least the crappy tinned ones in that horrible sugary water-tomato sauce are anyway. I've had Mexican-style refried beans before and they were ok.
In Quebec they have beans in maple syrup instead of that tomato crap - they might be nice.
