Vain men. The sun seems to bring them out in force. The number of guys swanning around topless and shaved is annoying me. It's actually the guys that work out that bother me the most. I don't want to see your frigging chests. The sheer vanity of a man that shaves all the hair from his torso and legs, often the arms too annoys me.

What sane woman would want to live with a guy who spends more time in the bathroom preening themselves than she does:confused: Save it for the beach or the privacy of your own gardens lads.

Reality shows are to blame for the current trend of extreme male vanity apparently. Shows like Geordie Shore etc. Teaching impressionable young and teen boys and young men the easiest way to get attention - which, in the celebrity-obsessed culture we're in is what most young people want more than anything. Also, people who have been blessed with favourable aesthetics constantly showing-off via the selfie trend. Celebrities massively perpetuate this trend by doing it and having young people convinced that this is a simple and great way to get attention. It's the one positive trait that nobody gets criticised for showing-off about constantly. Some people are born with favourable aesthetics, others with great talents, but imagine people with talents constantly posting about how great they are. People would not like that! But if you've got attractive aesthetics, by all means constantly show off by posting selfies and making people horny so that they aren't thinking straight when they support it. Like giving sugar to a child.

Yes I've given it a lot of thought. I had low confidence in my looks growing up and it makes me feel sick to think of my nieces and nephews growing up in a culture where they're likely to feel bad about themselves if they don't look like the people in social media who get loads of Likes when they post a vain photo.

What is it with the internet fainting at the sight of every new half-naked photoshoot David Beckham does? He has the body of an 8 year old. He has absolutely no chest. Does any of you actually get turned on by his body?

    http://www.capitalfm.com/music-news/week-photos/30-june-2014/david-beckham-2/

I don't. David Beckham is nothing special.

There is sort of a similiar thing going on in Toronto at the moment. Yesterday was Canada Day here and in the East York area of Toronto there was a parade.

Mayor Rob Ford, fresh out of 'rehab' decided to join this parade (Unknown to the parade organizers) and with a few of his supporters (re: morons), plenty of 'Vote for Rob Ford' signs and the media in tow he came across the path of a shirtless man jogging. The shirtless jogger started in on Mayor Ford about his homophobic, racist attitude and apparently has won the hearts of many Canadians. Some women (via Twitter and Facebook) are actually wanting to know if the man is single. One comment I read was that she wanted his babies and would die trying.

I was like .... wtf??? after I read that.

Some women haven't got the brains they were born with.

To be honest, it's more of a Microsoft problem than anything else. Their recent software and hardware releases have been dire.

Windows 8 is a nightmare to use, Windows Phone is horrible and pointless, the Surface is overpriced, horrible and pointless and the XBONE is terrible.

They literally aren't currently making any product that is worth a ****. I don't really care as long as the keep support going for Win 7 for another few years though.

Well NOW ya feckin' tell me, have to send all this stuff back now... :(

Ah no, I'd agree with you that Microsoft have looked like they dropped the ball with some of their recent hardware and software releases, and a couple of months ago I'd have agreed with you that Windows 8 was a bundle of shìt in a shiny wrapper, but having used it now for a couple of months, I decided it was time to let go of Apple and Android as I was spending far too much of my time maintaining all three platforms.

At least this way we're all on the same page so to speak, and MS have done a pretty good job with Windows 8.1 on the laptops/phones and Office 2013 to bring the whole lot together. I'm not a fan of tablets so I had no interest in getting a Windows tablet.

I'm not a gamer at all either so I left the Xbox stuff to the young lad to set up, and he can also keep and maintain his own stuff in his own time. It'll keep him busy for the summer :p

I wanted to log in to Youtube on my Dad's laptop to show him a video I had uploaded, but thanks to Google's recent takeover and general fcuking-up of YT, I have no idea how!

My cat using my leg as a scratching post. I was just sitting down for dinner when I had to do a ninja block to save my leg from being mauled. The little b*llocks is always chancing his arm trying to get me off guard especially when I sit down to eat something. He stares at me intimidatingly, waiting for me to look away for a split second so he can make his move. Clever little fcuker.

If you only knew the battles I have with Windows some times. Lets just say that I have a customer that needs my companies software running 24/7, but there is some Windows issue that is killing off processes, which basically takes all the server resources rendering any software useless on it. Using the Windows event logs is near impossible to get to the actual source....and after hours of troubleshooting, I find that it's just one server side registry setting causing the problem. So one small thing on the server is causing chaos for thousands of people.
So I spend hours of my time investigating a MS issue, not an issue with my software. That irks me.

Indeed it does, which is why I prefer to piss siting down, unless its a public toilet that's already covered in piss.

"Audience Participation". Bad enough at comedy gigs, now the "street performers" on Grafton Street are getting in the act. Some little girl's going to lose her eyebrows to those flaming baton ttings, and I doubt street performers have public liability insurance.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

When you've done all the washing up, poured out the water and then see one cup/glass you haven't done!

Hope it's okay to start the new thread (not sure if mods have to do it).

I posted this right at the end of the last thread so just carrying it over as it has me driven demented.

I have a question on this subject.

I work with 2 women who eat their food like toddlers. I mean eating with their mouth wide open, jiggling hot food around in their mouth, talking and laughing with their mouth full of food.

It makes my skin crawl! I actually had to leave my lunch without finishing it and leave the office because I just couldn't sit there listening to them.

Would it be rude of me to say something to them? They both sit next to each other and are quite friendly so I was thinking of saying something to them together. Can I?

(my first thread on boards  )

Have to quote my original post in this thread.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??? When you are munching away with your mouth open and the food rolling around like a washing machine, can you not hear yourself??:mad::mad:

Well in fairness, you're going to hear yourself eating whether your mouth is open or closed.

The Church, specifically a church that's spent 80 grand on reopening over the past 18 months. They've just installed a marble pulpit and some angels and are looking for donations of almost 23 grand. The interview with the priest just highlighted the absolute lack of contact with reality that the church has. That money could have been spent on people living in that city who can't afford food or who live on the streets etc.

It just sickens me to see this sh1t time and time again. It was shut for 8 years and people survived without it, one thing Ireland doesn't need any more of is churches. Don't know why it bothers me so much but it really does.

These guys ran a Novena to compete with the other Novena that brings traffic in that area of the city to a complete halt.
In keeping with the thread title: when those driving/walking to mass or a Novena think they're invincible and ignore all traffic laws

hypocrisy. While the people starve the church does up their windows or something.

There's a graveyard mass in my local area around this time every year and tough **** if you are planning to drive anywhere around the time it's on.

People walking in the middle of the road ignoring traffic, cars parked on both sides so traffic is down to one lane of the self same road that people are walking in the middle of and when it's all over there's gridlock for an hour as the worshipers all leave at once and just pull out in front of other road users willy nilly.
