So what are your plans for the year.

    The plan for the Levin is to;
    - get the windscreen repaired/replaced
    - NCT retest then
    - sell it!!

Then I'm going to get a new car and it's going to get:
    - tyres and a service
    - paint correction
    - HIDs probably
    - other tidying up in terms of trim, interior etc
    - tax :(

Main plan - keep my car alive (more than likely it will also be a plan for 2015 and 2016).

Additional plan - more silly mods! :D

From previous thread, get the gtv on the road. Have the funds together to get her ready, and an extra 300 from taking the 156 off the road.

    February/March 2014:

    - Buy prefferably an E46 325ci.
    - M-Sport Bodykit if it's not there
    - Black, electric leather seats
    - Yellow rings (don't like LED ones)
    - Xenons
    - Black kidneys
    - Rear Facelift Lights (LED)
    - Some nice exhaust

But against the higher cost for bulbs, you get a far better result/light output and they last a lot longer.

Well worth it IMO but only if your car has projector-style headlights

Usually they only go in the dips, The light output is normally far superior and the bulbs last a lot longer :D

I don't plan to spend much on the focus for the first half of the year as it running very well at the moment and there is no faults with it.
-full service oil + air filter + oil filter this will probably be done February depending when it falls due.
-if I still have it summer time I'll spend a couple of bob on it. I'll bring it too the mechanic and get a full look over it will probably need some suspension parts track rods etc but most were replaced when I first got it.
-again if it's still here during I will do a few cosmetic mods/ upgrades as upto now it's really only been getting mechanical work done although that has to be done first anyway.

    For the astra
Repair one of the doors and various bits and bangs on the astra
Replace that god damn wiper motor :pac:
New brake discs, convert the rear drums to discs....maybe
    Get two new front tires

    For the saab

    Replace throttle body
    Replace exhaust cat
    Replace indicator lens
    Get new alloys+tires+locking nuts
    Get said alloys tracked
Get insured and all the rest!
Possibly get an aero body kit from somewhere
    Upgrade suspension
Drop the sump, clean it and replace
    Replace any missing/broken/damaged bits
And I'm sure there's more but i can't think of them now

    Balls.... Where to start :p

520i to be sold (what an epic diffmobile )

406 is grand :) might experiment with a pair of turbos though but I'm happy with it as is

535i to get its much needed rad and tyres for some serious work/fun :D

525i to get roadworthy fir next year :)

166 needs sold but will be restored before that

156 is a simple plan with a nutty execution :D

Van has a similar fate :pac:

Ka to get it running and make into a stock car

Might start poking at the Landy and 106 if I have the time

Oh and get a new daily hack.... Hope that gets the go ahead ;)

E30: Get it resprayed. Get the driver seat repaired.
M6: New brake discs and pads. Get BMW Ireland to agree to repair the roof under warranty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,734 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

As I said in the other thread, get the windows tinted on the A6 and maybe a remap.

Oh, a 5th alloy. Came with a 16" one which isn't ideal when the rest are 18"

Cheap to run - yes. A lot of fun - yes! :D

But it would need huge heap of money as it's a completely different kind of engine.

It's also too heavy I'm afraid.

If I had a pile of money I'd go 1ZZ-FE (plug and play job), if I had a big pile of money I'd go 2ZZ-GE. :)

Thought yours was a pre face lift for some reason:confused::confused:

Potential for even more fun so :pac::pac:
