Most dentists are asking Americans to stop all the bleaching, hard brushing and bleaching as their teeth are falling out due to gums receding.

Same here, my teeth don't have gaps between them, so it's painful and I don't see much benefit. Last time I went to my dentist she said 'so you're obviously flossing regularly...' and I just said 'umm, yeah, sure'

They definitely have them in my local pharmacy. I can pick one up and send it on to you if you'd like?

So just do it once a week or at least every so often. Initially I didn't like to floss my teeth because I observed that it lead to deepening of any puppet lines you may have, but now I have found a way in which I can do it without doing those facial expressions in the process. That's the only reason I find it hard to get back to the molars.

For years I didn't floss as I presumed mouth wash was a good enough substitute for it!!

I know a guy that doesn't floss because he says it smells so bad when he does.

Surely that is a very good reason to floss more frequently! :eek:

I actually, better off finding them in Tesco's.

I find the smaller pharmacies only have the small multi-pack disposable ones.
Dunnes is a bit random as to whether they have them or not, but I have seen them in Tescos.

There's always ebay of course :P

And no OP , I don't floss. I brush my teeth, twice daily or use mouth wash if I don't have time in the morning but I don't floss.
I used to, but some of my teeth are too tight together, and often breaks the floss when I try to use it, now thats horrible!, a string of floss hanging between your teeth and trying to pull it out

When I first started to floss properly I was absolutely horrified by the smell when I done my molars.

It was like I'd released the Kraken in my mouth! I can understand why it might put people off flossing, but the really offensive smell disappears after just a few days of flossing.

Flossing can help you live longer, I remember reading that is can help prevent heart disease. Satin floss is easy on the teeth and with a bit of practise you can get to those hard to reach molars at the back.

Totally agree. TePe are a great brand. Very useful for people with gaps in their teeth.

Satin tape is great for teeth without gaps

I would assume that there isn't really any link to between healthy teeth and a healthy body. It doesn't make sense
