Yeah I don't think it'll be before 5am either. Some people on Twitter saying 3.45am ring walks, which I sincerely doubt. Floyd likes the pageantry. I think it was the Victor Ortiz fight when it didn't kick off til about 6am? I could be getting those mixed up though.

Sky mentioned earlier that the earliest the ring walks will start will be 3:45 so any time after that depending on the undercard

Transmission in some sites is announced to start at 215 and 300 for the undercards, 400 for the main event.

I have my alarm set at 415 now, may move it to 4.

If mayweather plays his usual game I'm thinking it could be a fairly dull encounter than what everyone is expecting. Hopefully not

I think Mayweather will need to up his output tonight or risk losing rounds due to Manny's aggression, the only way I see it being dull is if Manny can't find a way to close the distance and Mayweather builds up a lead going into the 2nd half of the fight.

    Cmon Floyd!

Any good undercards to look out for?

It's a pathetic undercard. No competitive fights at all but Lomachenko is a joy to watch, even if he's going to dominate his over matched opponent.

Leo Santa Cruz is fighting another soft touch but from an Irish perspective, he's a potential opponent for Carl Frampton so that may bring some interest for some here.

I hope I don't get so pissed I wake up and have to check who won online as I can't remember because I was langers. It's happened a few times doing late ones for American fights.

Great to see the forum so busy. This fight could bring some new regulars, it can be a bit quiet here at times.

I think Mayweather will, but I now want Pacquiao to win- largely cos he's not a scumbag

First fight I'll get up for probably since Tysons reign.

Excited by this one albeit 3 or 4 years too late.

What do you mean by this so, may I ask?...from the thread " Poll on who you want to win, not who you think wins:"

It's ok to comment to say how great somebody is with out wanting them to win.

Mayweather is incredible. 47-0 for a reason, that doesn't mean people want him to win.

I did want him to win up until this week. Pacquiao getting the woman a death row pardon swung it for me

Mayweather is still the better boxer mind

Ah that clears it up...was wondering as I knew you always came across as more of a Floyd fan.

What time do we reckon this will start? What I've heard so far ranges from 3.45 to 5.00. I know its dependent on previous fights but what the likely or earliest possible start?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,629 ✭✭✭magma69

My nerves are kicking in already. :o

3:45 is the earliest possible start time according to Sky, more likely to be 4 - 4:30

Will there be a separate fight thread?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,099 ✭✭✭Stinicker

I hope Pacman wins this, there is an entire nation in the Philippines riding on him, as someone who's been there I can empathise with his story. I really hope he downs this arrogant mayweather, Pacman gives his money to charity, mayweather boasts about it on social media. I hope Pacman knocks him out on the first round. Go manny Go

I hope fooking not. Head is fried trying to keep pace with the Myweather-Pacman comments across the numerous threads we already have.
