    R.I.P. Padraig,

    His voice on here carried such vitality and he had such a sense of mission in his campaign to raise awareness it's hard to imagine him having ever been weakened.

    It's a sad story, but he did a great thing with the time he had left.

    My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

    Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    Padraigs attitude towards cancer and life in general reminded of that poem.

    I only knew him through his recent posts here but what struck me was his complete lack of self pity. It's a shock that he is gone because he sounded so full of life right up to his last entries here. So sad.

    I only knew him from reading the posts on here the last few months.

    His courage was incredible and his dedication in helping others through his charity work even to his last days humbling.

    It speaks volumes of the man to read this thread, to read the depth of feeling here.

    My condolences to his family. If he inspired me through boards so much, I can only imagine the inspiration he must have been to them in their lives.

    RIP-LPB
