Anyone that can get on with BF sportsbook they are 16s about Koing Hall which is twice the price of most firms.

    Serious value.

Whats with the proliferation of mouth pieces in bookie shops these days!?. Usually the emaciated sweat shirt wearing variety. No matter who they back the jockey cant do any right of course. I'm talking full bore cursing and shouting during watching a race. The obligatory docket thrown at the screen with rage at the end. Always happened to a degree but I've never known it to be as consistent in shops as it is now.

Shops now r full of degenerates. Backing everything that moves for small stakes. Bookies seem to be happy as 0 of these will ever be winning punters. Awful places to be now. When 1 go in its in and out no delay

Was in a Lads shop in Limerick last week.

A Chinese lad had 100 e/w on a. 20/1 shot on the "racing" at Frankel Park.

    Came 2nd :o

You know a lot of times people backing a 20/1 shot in that (despite having no form to base their bet on) are getting a fairer deal than backing a horse at 20/1. That one on the computer is a true 20/1 shot (maybe with a small over round). The fella laughing at him standing next to him could be backing a 20/1 shot that's about 40 on BF (I could be wrong I'm assuming the over rounds on the computers aren't that much but could be about 200%)

Yeah i agree, i dont be in shops as much anymore so i was thinking for a minute maybe i was immune when i was in more often but yeah they seem teeming with degens.

It amazes me how people hang around those bookies shops all day every day and have never been to a race track
I often go to my local bookies on a Saturday morning to do a few bets.
If I happen to say "I am heading to punchestown/fairyhouse/leopardstown etc today" I usually get told I must be mad as " irish racing is corrupt" then they make a dash for the counter to back a cartoon dog.

    Madness !!!

Sole Power looks very big at 15/2 with hills for the race at ascot tomorrow. 3 pts win for me.

The price last night was nuts. I could only get 1.25 pts on. I do wonder at times what their traders are on.

If Kilkenny gets it, I give up on Gaelic football, handpassing the ball sideways 50 times a game is no reason to get player of the year.

Well lads, not sure if many of you follow the GAA championship but I had a good bet on the below yesterday.

Brian Fenton (Dublin) to be named Footballer of the Year @ 33/1 with Paddy Power

Didn't have a bet myself due to lack of interest in GAA.

Superb stuff Jim, I hope you had a few grand on.

First of all great shout Jim.

However, just heard Newstalk say Lee Keegan is the front runner for this. They are probably smoking crack but would there be the liquidity on this market for you to be thinking of a lay out? You are on at 33s, lay at say 1/3 or 2/5 nets you over 20 times your original stake.

He was 20's last night with PP who were the only one's pricing up. It's down to three now. Here's hoping Jim....

I hedged months ago on Kilkenny (fits profile of a POTY winner mentioned in my original post) and threw a 10r on Keegan at 25/1 this morning to cover my stake so I'm happy to leave it at that.

Paddy Power were slow to react to news of 3 nominees around 7am so took advantage (not meant as aftertimng)

Keegan was good but Fenton should have it fingers crossed.
