Do anyone know if gamestop uk will deliver to ireland? they have the golds for for 60 quid and on the irish website they are 100 euro, even with the currency conversion its still a big difference

For the members here who have this headset whats your opinions so far? I bought the pulse elites from amazon last week and im sending them back tomorrow as the sound and volume quality is shocking, id i want to replace them for the golds but they are out of stock everywhere and the ones on amazon are going for £130!!

I want a headset for the ps3 and ps4 that has an easily swappable dongle and the golds seem the only other choice tbh.

You will have to use parcelmotel if you want to order from gamestop uk.

I spoke to gamestop in Gorey and the said they are expecting them in on the 28th (whether or not its true is another thing)

Will be interested to see what everyone who has a pair thinks of them as the only other option is skullcandy or turtle beaches dolby headset which i dont fancy coughing up 200 notes for tbh

Mine arrived on Friday and after playing the last of us with them on, they are quite good. They didn't knock my socks off but I'd imagine it would cost well over 80 euro for a pair of headphones to do that.

They're my first set of headphones so someone with more knowledge may think differently but I thought they were good.

Also the fact they have a special app for them has great potential going forward.

If the headset is wireless then probably, but if they're not then it's a coincidence.

I got the last pair in Smyths Drogheda and for 89 euros they are pretty good, I had a old pair of Sharkoons with the built in surround speakers and theses sound better, the virtual surround sound works pretty well, I play a lot of Cod and can now hear sounds that I couldn't hear on the sharkoons, the usb dongle plugs into the front, its not that big and you would hardly notice it. Download the app for the headset from the store connect the headset to the PS4 via a micro usb cable, set the mode button on the headset to position 2 and you can download preset settings with different names like shooter, fighting horror etc, there is a decent bass from them one thing that I was worried about. The mic I cannot report on that just yet, when some of my friends come on line I'll check to see if they can hear me ok, I know the Sharkoons mic didn't sound great when I had them on PS4 yet they where fine on PS3. Also I hooked these up to my iPhone with the provided cable and they sound great, you can also plug the cable into the DS4 for stereo sound. All in all I'm very happy with these headset, its great to get rid of the wired headset. Get them if you can find them!

Anyone know if this headset will work with PS4 thinking of getting this bundle in the next week http://shop.fnatic.com/products/fnatic-bundle

There's 2 versions of the steelseries 7H, can't see which is in that bundle.

The mobile iphone version would be able to connect to a Dualshock but as there are 2 different standards for single 3.5mm mic/stereo it might not work and for the standard PC headset with 2 separate 3.5mm cables you'd need another cable and there'd be a bit of trial and error.

    best avoid it.

I was looking to order a headset through tesco direct. I was hoping to get a wireless set that was pretty cheap. Would any of the cheaper ones above be any good?

    Has anyone tried these
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00HKCKA0G?qid=1407249331&sr=8-1&vs=1

They seem pretty cheap and have good reviews overall. Just wondering have any boardsies used them and what do they think

I picked one up in Argos earlier - reduced :)
Just need to figure out if I need to do anything to improve it, seems to be working fine but am not blown away just yet playing Wolfenstein on the default settings.

I've always used Turtlebeaches but the one issue I have with them is their quite flimsy. Broke 2 XP21s and one PX something or other. I'm partially to blame as I kept racing out the door forgetting I was wearing them.

I then purchased the XP 500s which is wireless so problem solved? They cracked over the weekend. Still useable but they'll probably fall apart over the next few months but they are a good headset if a bit expensive.

I was pleasently suprised to read that there is a raft of third party headphones that have mics that seem to work.

Havn't tested it myself yet, but funny enough I was on the hunt for a set of headphones for my Ps4. I wanta headphone and mic combo. I have been plugging my Steelseries Siberias into my monitor to get sound, and then the mic into the controller and doing it that way, but its a bit of a pain. The standard mic is pretty pants aswell so wanted something better.

Oddly enough searching around on google, it looks like a pair of Monster Ncredible headphones I have, which have a mic, should work.

Going to test it out this evening to see how I get on, fingers crossed, I know from using them with my phone the mic quality and audio form the headset is top notch

What are the most important things to consider when getting a headset? I am in the market for a headset at the moment but I also want to be able use it to listen to music, on my laptop etc etc...

I have never even used a gaming headset before

I got myself Creative Fatality headset, which is a solid Pc headset. Got a splitter, which turns 2 jacks in to one. Then just plug it in to controller. Works perfectly and all in all was about 30£. Good deal for me as I can use it on pc and ps4 when needed.

Its a really nice budget work around for headphone issue. Specially when you can use them on PC too. If you got a good few quid, you better off getting that Sony Play headset. Its great value for the price, but 7.1 works only on PS4

Thinking about getting the Turtle Beach PX22. A bit pricey, but they have some nice features and appear to be compatible with PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and PC which is what I was looking for.

    Anybody any experience with these?

I have a set, and I love them. I was a bit unsure about wireless ones, so went with the long lead on the PX22s. I also got the DSS2 unit which gives you surround sound, which makes it a brilliant combo. I use mine into the phono jack and USB on the TV, so I don't need to keep switching between PS3/4 and TV.
