    Reapplying a stronger UV protective barrier over plastic is permanent and glass is not used anymore for headlights.

    Some kind of liquid UV protection that you put on like a sealant ? Or some kinda special plastic laminate that you apply once the hazing is removed?

    Chrisfix did a video a while back.



    I've found masking tape is a major pain to get off though when it gets wet.

    Thanks nd - saw that video before alright. Happy enough to do some sanding/polishing. Dunno if I'd manage the lacquer without making a mess of it!

    I tried it myself and yeah as I put the coats of lacquer on it got mistier so I ended up sanding most of it off again.

    I must try it again some day. Maybe it was too cold the day I was doing it.

    It don't think it's the magical permanent solution that some might lead you to believe tbh.

    I suppose permanent is overstating it. At best it'll last as long as the lacquer does.
