Anyone gotten intake valves cleaned? Any idea of a price? Considering doing it myself but it's quite the amount of work.

George Dalton is getting in a walnut blasting machine in the next few months. I'm gonna get him to do that to mine whenever I recover from the job he's doing on Wednesday :P

Why would you buy a machine to blast a walnut ? :(

Leave those tasty little nuggets of deliciousness along.

    Whats next a Pecan flayer ? :(

Bah, can't wait that long. Might just take a weekend and do it myself.

It can be a pain in the arse of a job. I took apart half of the MPS engine in order to decoke the recirc valve which was CAKED in it and even though I had it completely out and I was scrubbing it and drowning it in oven cleaner, I wasn't getting very far.

You might be able to find something stronger/better than oven cleaner though.

Maybe I missed it but was there an official announcement of the results from the poster / thread / pic of the year voting?

He is still posting here. Not sure if he was more active in the past but he is still regular enough, especially in the threads where people are having car problems. Heading up to him myself Thursday evening to sort out my car heater problem.

If you arrive outside his place and you see him working on my car, keep driving :P :pac:

Hah, thats what I want to hear.

I may get rid of the Charade if I end up with this. I know of this for sale too, very local, though. Just nursing the idea of another ADO16...

I'd get the rover, and keep it as a project car or something, but having said that, if you have the room for both, then go for both!

I probably couldn't afford/store both. At the minute, I have the Legend and Golf outside, and the Charade in a wooden garden shed I bought in Argos. I don't know if I could fit two cars into my back garden. Either way, I'll be broke for another month if I buy either..

Jesus this exhaust is awful loud.

I think a few of my fillings have been shaken loose by pure boo !

I getcha, I'm stone broke from the saab, but it was totally worth it, and i probably will be for the foremost future, but if you like it then go for it!

The weather/ driving conditions were terrible going to cork this morning. The wind was seriously strong the whole way up and rain. But the I got to after the toll bridge maybe give km before dunkettle interchange and it started to rain that heavy it was unbelievable I never drove in anything as bad you couldn't see a thing cars were just stopped in the hard shoulder and it was a struggle to see them it was that heavy they were probably causing the biggest danger by stopping.

Visability must of been down to metres the only thing I could see was the white line in the centre of the road dividing the two lanes and yellow on the sides that was the only guide. Crawling along at a few km per hour but that's all everyone was doing. Didn't help it was still dark. It only went on for a short space of time and the rain was almost clear completely by the roundabout. It was just mad though I've driven in plenty of heavy rain but this was something else.

Anyway at least the focus got me there safely. My dad is going to uk in the morning to work for a month (he does block stays over there every so often) and his ferry was canceled but he can go from Dublin at least them ferries are still running.

Lads, I'm pretty sure there's an Indy BMW specialist in Sandyford that may or may not be a user here. Need diagnostic done on a fault that's not coming up on spurious coder reader.

Anyone got contact info for this dude?
