This is the main thread for those involved in the 2013/2014 mixed bag competition to post their entries. Simply post your picture, with the necessary details, and the leader board will be updated each week. A copy of the rules are available at the bottom of this post, and the leader board will be updated in this post (post 1) each week rather than a new post each week.

Any corrections to the entries please contact me via PM. Please keep posts to entries ONLY. No discussion on this thread. That can be done on the other thread (Interest in mixed bag comp thread) where we discussed the comp previously.

Copy of Competition Rules:

Next the rules. We'll keep these short and sweet:

1. Competition starts on Friday the 1st November and ends Friday, February 28th 2014.
2. All entries must have a signed & dated piece of paper/newspaper, etc in the photograph as proof of what time and date it was shot. Sign it off with your Boards.ie username only.
3. Try keep your faces or faces of others out of the pictures. With Facebook, Twitter, etc it's not hard to find people if you are determined, and to prevent abuse from "outside sources" there is no need to identify yourself.
4. To prevent abuse by "outside sources" the gun must be in the picture. Either beside, or across the game. Please follow this one as we have had instances of photoshopping used to remove the gun, and other objects put in to portray cruel methods used to kill game.
5. With each entry please give a detailed explanation. Not just a photo. So for example if the picture has a fox, crow, rabbit, and a pheasant you would write:

[*]Entire animals only. No tails, wings, feet, heads, etc. It must be the complete animal.
[*]Only the required amount will be counted. So if the total needed for say crows is 15 and someone racks up 20 then only 15 will be counted. The excess will not count towards the total amount. IOW it will not substitute a lack of another amount needed.
[*]Entries will only be counted at the end off each week. Not daily. It starts Friday so will be updated each Friday. So you may either post all your entries on the one day or as you get them (daily). They will only be updated/appear at the end of each week. Any entries not submitted by 9pm on the Friday of each week will appear the following week.
[*]No discussion on the comp thread. Only entries to be posted. Any discussion or chat posts will be removed. Makes for easier reading.
[*]In the event of a draw, were multiple people have completed the list of game then the person that finishes first will be declared the winner. The first to finish will be determined by the time of their last post that contains the final game needed. So if i were to finish and posted my last picture on Saturday February 8th, and say Cavan duck buster finished with a post of the last of his game on Sunday February 9th then i win. In the event of two finishing on the same day time will determine the winner.




Notice to all participants about possible insurance issues:

It has come to our attention that under compensation funds ran by certain organisations anyone injured while partaking in a competition may find their cover void.

Please be aware of this fact before entering into this competition, and if unsure of your cover or simply do not wish to suffer such loss of coverage please inform me via PM, and your name will be removed from the list of competitors.

No discussion of this will be permitted on this thread as this does not effect everyone.

The picture above are okay as it's obvious it was today, but we really need the gun in the picture for the reasons outlined above.

Okay class. Every one pay attention.

The above is a perfect post. Detailed, username, clear picture, gun in picture, etc. Shotie go to the top of the class.

As said above lads there will be a little leeway for week one until everyone gets their head around the proper posting method. However i don't want to exclude any entries, and get into rows. It's a bit off craic after all. So can people please check the required layout for the posts.

I only see one tail that belonged to a mink. Where/is there a second tail?

Just a reminder. As and from NOW no more leeway in terms of mistaken entries. For the purposes of summary here are the key points. All the other rules can be found in post one.

1. All entries must have a piece of paper with USERNAME, DATE on it. No phones, newspapers, etc. Just a piece of paper with your username and date is all that is needed.
2. All entries MUST have a gun in the picture. Whatever one was used.
3. Full/whole animals only lads. Tails, wings, etc. do not count.
4. Only the amount needed will be used. So if you shoot 10 animals and only 9 are need, well only 9 will be credited.
5. Entries should be explained/detailed. So a picture/attachment with a list of the animal(s) and amount(s) posted with it. So i can compare to the picture.
