Yeah but that's different as that was a shot, as per the FF rules:

    Rebounds
If a shot on goal is blocked by an opposition player, is saved by a goalkeeper or hits the woodwork, and a goal is scored from the rebound, then an assist is awarded.

    Also see here:

If an opposing player touches the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is awarded.

How did Suarez not get bonus points? very unfair

26 with Lambert, Ozil, Ramsey and Dawson to play.

Would be delighted if Lambert could score again as I'm the only one in my league with him. The rest almost everyone has so not that fussed.

Might bring Yaya in. He just keeps scoring points and could of had another assist yesterday.

If nobody stakes a claim in midfield today, he's my Ben Arfa replacement.

Yeah, had intended to go Michu but YaYa hard to ignore. Especially at home where he seems to get forward a lot.

33 with Boruc, Terry, Dawson, Özil, and Giroud to play. The only thing that worries me today is having no Spurs attacking coverage, otherwise I'm happy enough given so far given the low averages.

exact same pts as you with all the same players left apart from having eriksen instead of giroud.

I'm on 24 with six left to play. 3 Arsenal boys so I'm hoping Arsenal have their game of the season today!

Looking around, a lot of people seem to have 6 or 7 players today and scored in the mid-twenties. I need good games from Michu and Terry if I want to stay level. If Giroud or Ramsey perform I'm f**ked! Definitely need Spurs to concede.

CHELSEA: Cech; Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Oscar, Mata, Schurrle; Ba.

SWANSEA: Vorm, Rangel (c), Amat, Flores, Davies, Canas, Shelvey, Michu, Dyer, Routledge, Bony.

NORWICH: Ruddy; Martin, Bassong, Turner, Olsson; Howson, Tettey, Fer; Pilkington, Snodgrass, van Wolfswinkel.

    Michu starts! :D

    And Bony surprisingly :)

And wow Mourinho playing Ba for a change

When do the dubious goals board sit or how does it work? Surely that Aguero penalty will be reviewed...

The Mickey Turner celebration gif is fired up and ready to go. Oh I have an oddly good feeling about today :D

Michu starting as I expected him to but I may now have to take a look at Redmond not starting today I see.

Did he get an assist for it?

Was worrying about Terry playing after playing in CL midweek . Glad to see him starting .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

I didn't see it but is it not an own goal? He has already been awarded the assist. If the ball hit the post and was going away from goal (or at least not 100% going in) when it hit the keeper then the result stands. It's an assist.

yes but got -2 for penalty miss and Zab lost his assist. His penalty was on target, looks a strange call as an OG.

Yep, could do with a decent game from him. Will take a clean sheet but as always he's a massive goal threat. I rate him second best in the league for goals/assists, only behind Baines and this is because he is on set pieces.

As for the Swans game, I have Michu vs Fonte. A lot of people have Southampton defenders or Boruc so I guess I'm rooting for a Michu brace! Annoying that Bony starts though, was hoping Michu would be up top on his own.

I'm happy they're finally starting together.

The Michu-Bony axis of doom needs to get some time together

He missed the penalty, and therefore Zab doesn't get the assist. I have Zab and didn't even question it. Again, I haven't seen the penalty but if it hit the post and then hit the keeper (when moving away from goal) and went in then it's an OG, and a penalty miss. His penalty was not on target, the post is not the target.

If Howard wasn't there, the ball wouldn't have went into the goal, so of course it's an OG

Have a look at the penalty then, the keeper turned it onto the post and so wasnt fully able to save it, different scenario. Anyway my question is when would the dubious goals committee review if it was to review?

The only thing that should be up for review is the con job that Zabaleta pulled to be granted said penalty. Coleman hardly laid a finger on the man and he fell over like a tonne of bricks. Disappointing behavior from one of the leading defenders in the premiership.

Exact same scenario, the penalty wasn't scored because it hit the post. As the ball returned from the post it hit the keeper and went into the goal. How is that not an own goal?

It would be too late. No hope of him getting the goal on FF. Don't even bother wasting your time thinking about it.

You might have a case, it didn't hit the post first. Even if the Dubious Goals Committee give it to him it doesn't matter, scores have already been decided.
