    Hmm, I hadn't looked at the GOL unlock but I might give it a shot later. I'm usually standing back, pinging people off the towers so it'll be interesting to see the reverse angle..
    Express train for the F2000 looks simple enough. Find a good spot and don't aim for peoples faces all the time..

    XB1 patch out today same as the PC and PS4 patches from a few weeks ago

    We’ve started rolling out a new Battlefield 4 game update on Xbox One. You may experience some downtime during this rollout, as we are also updating the game servers. As usual, it will take a few hours before the majority of servers are updated.

    Still no emblems but we've got proper grass physics FTW
    Feb 25 Xbox One Game update notes
    -Fix for an issue where spawning into, or switching to, a gunner seat in an IFV/MBT sometimes could cause the game to crash
    -Fix for a crash that could occur when signing out as an active user
    -Fix for missing sound in Team/Squad Deathmatch
    -Fix for an issue in the Defuse game mode, where a bomb carrier would be permanently spotted
    -Decreased the rate at which the kill card would incorrectly display 0 health, while the enemy was clearly alive
    -Fix for an invisible wall that was incorrectly present in one of the fallen concrete pipes on Zavod 311
    -Fix for an issue where bullet impact sounds weren’t properly matching the actual number of impacts, causing the players to feel that they died too quickly.
    -Fix for an issue where the “Draw” message would not display on-screen once a Conquest round ended with both teams having the same amount of tickets
    -Fix for an issue where long IDs wouldn’t scroll on dog tags
    -Fix for missing grass physics in terrain
    -Fix for an issue that would appear if a 10 users party would join a game with 8 available slots, leaving 2 of the players stuck on the loading screen
    -Fix for an issue where the player camera would be positioned inside of the soldier when parachute spawning
    -Fix for a MAV exploit that let players reach various out-of-map locations

    It's very simple, I got it without even realising.

    Dust Devil assignment is easy too, I just hopped into an LAV and 5 minutes later had it unlocked.

    DAO-12 one is a bit tricky, Caspian isn't very shotgun friendly.

    I initially thought the Eagles nest assignment meant shooting from the towers along the wall not the massive tower. The sheer effort of having to climb that.

    Latest patch was busted, but there was a fix (delete the UI.DrawEnable line from the user.cfg file and then write-protect the file) and now I can finally play again.

    Shame the toddler decided last night was the night to stay up all night :D

    Wouldn't it be great if the assignments were actually interesting... I find these assignments complete poop and extremely childish. There is a happy medium in having the assignments worth doing and not being overly difficult.

    I thought the assignments sometimes on BF3 were better, e.g. get 200 kills with the PP19, get 100 headshots etc etc.

    Doesnt really matter but all the guns I unlocked this time around I just ended up with them, didnt bother following the assignments at all.

    Must say Op Firestorm on PS4 versus PS3 Op Firestorm is one clear example of Next Gen versus Old Gen.

    I really like this map on 64 players.

    On Metro it is actually getting worse with the grenade spamming. My 9 year old was watching it last night and he said it was silly...

    Thats not working for everyone going by the Battlelog thread.

    Friend of mine (long time BF franchise veteran) not only rage quit last night after latest patch he rage uninstalled it too and vowed never to return.

    Hearing the raging was funny as hell, was pissing myself laughing :D:D:D:D:D

    As I said before it is possible to pretty much avoid the grenade spam and move around the map you just have to develop your own tactics to suit your style for doing so.

    Heres a match report from last night running as my usual recon so no boosts and was nearly MVP , had 2.25 k/d and got most kills of the round.

    It's very possible, not always easy but definitely possible. C4 can be your friend :)

    I only had time for one quick game last night, but It actually felt improved to me.

    the funny thing about the patch was that it uninstalled the game completely and then reinistalled it off the disc. it was the very same as when I first installed it - got the message saying that single player was available at 50% or whatever too. (xbox one)

    its actually really easy to break through enemy lines in metro now but last night i broke through from the us side multiple times and the idiot team behind me were happier throwing nades up a stares and pissing into the wind and wouldnt push through when i had A capped and the russians were doubling back in panic i hate when people are more woried about there k/d than the objective its metro FFS your gonna get blown out of it get over yourself

    (not directing my rage at anyone here by the way)

    It's the same on Capture the flag. I've watched and played numerous games of CTF on Metro and capping one flag is a rarity, but a 3-0 is simply impossible. Unless you were on my team. They just kept falling back and falling back until, eventually, we were completely spawn trapped. My squad and I broke through a few times and got their flag, but by the time we got to the 'B' flag on conquest, we were completely out numbered, simply due to the sheer number of enemies they had pushed up into our spawn area.

    They had the freedom of the map and it was frustrating as hell to see 27 or so of my own team pegged back, and not one of them other than my squad pushing up to try and change it.

    Playing for first time in a while tonight, got a few new things since the last games - windows 8.1 (trial), new AMD drivers, new patch.
    First the bad: mantle still stuttery as hell, still random frame rate drops at certain points on maps.
    Now the good: well, everything actually. Game ran well, hit reg seemed better, actually managed to make it round some corners under fire without dying and didn't notice any one hit kills/weird deaths. Had a lot of the fun with very little frustration.

    Tried out a few different random servers as well, generally positive results all round...could I actually dare to hope that the game is improving ??

    METRO LVG DEADLOCK SOLUTION

    my answer to deadlock nade spam in metro is smoke granades and the support class throw a load of them up the stairs ect and the snipers and machine gunners cant see you so you run like hell through then hide and let someone spawn on you and take the objective behind the enemy team then if your team is any way co ordinated push up the stairs ect when the enemies attention is divided

    Lots of smoke and FLIR or the other one night-sight scope thing who's name escapes me now... you can just walk in and blap them in the head most of the time. Maybe not where the nade spam is but often its a good way to break deadlocks (on Op Locker it works a treat).

    Doesn't sound like it needs fixing? Is that not where the IRNV or thermal scopes/vision come into their own? Certainly is the case on Oman when the sandstorm blows in.

    Although I'd rather not segregate player by platform, the limited scope of 100 player doesn't accommodate that.

    Ah I didn't realise you meant the enemy could still spot, that does make smoke a bit pointless
