I'm sorry but that's stupid, you're taking the thread even further off topic with that nonsense, and chimed in when our discussion was finished, terrible timing.

I am very much looking forward to getting this game, but still trying to decide between getting a proper Gaming rig or the PS4.

    Anyone played it on both?

What have you been playing it on so far?

I had a quick go on the XboxOne. I hated it, but thats unfair to the console, I just happen to detest using control pads in any FPS game as its too inaccurate and you cant snap around 180 and headshot someone.

The graphics were good for a console, but I guess it all depends on what you are used to playing on. Its very difficult to look positively on something when it has worse graphics than PC gamers had several years ago.

Haven't picked it up yet, have a copy for the 360 hanging around but really don't want my first impressions of bf4 to be that.

I'm fairly handy on a controller, sensitivity would always be set high so to a degree I was able to snap 180 and.take people out, however I know I won't be able to do that on kb/m as I'm pathetic on that at the moment.

I don't want to be a noob again but PC just looks so damn good.

    Nope, doesn't make a difference.

Premium is basically a season pass, it gives you all the BF4 DLC. I'd hold off for now, China Rising wasn't great and there's no real need for it until the next pack, Second Assault, in a few weeks and you might find a deal on it between now and then.

Cheers 5uspect, maybe ill hold off playing though if the follow argument/drivel was what id be subjected to in online chat.....

If you're that precious I would recommend getting Animal Crossing.

I tried having the sensitivity high on the control pad, but then I found that aiming over a distance was extremely difficult because it was then too sensitive. Control pads are always going to be a compromise. In fact ages ago, there was a test to see if it would be feasible to have cross platform play. I just Googled it as I couldnt remember the details, but basically mediocre players on PC owned the best console players mainly based on the advantage of using a keyboard and mouse. http://www.techspot.com/news/39738-microsoft-killed-cross-platform-project-because-pc-gamers-wrecked-console-gamers.html

I used to live in Tenerife and for nearly 5 years there I played games on my PS3, and I found it incredibly frustrating to switch back to PC gaming, despite the fact I had been PC gaming for about 5 years prior to moving to Tenerife.

I knew I was better than my results were showing, and I nearly gave up because I was getting so annoyed. Anyway I eventually picked myself up and my BF3 stats improved dramatically in the last year, especially when I finally bought myself a left handed Razer mouse. Its well worth the initial noob feeling. If you can afford to game on PC, there is no substitute at all. Next gen cant even do 1080p @ 60FPS in BF4 and for me, 60 FPS is an absolute minimum I want to game at.

I'm trying at the moment, have an alright laptop that will run games on low/medium so I'll be using that to practice while saving up for the PC, I know though that if I tried a game of bf4 at the moment on PC I'd get absolutely destroyed.

PC is definitely looking the more likely choice for me though with the steam sales and mods available.

I'm managing about 25fps in windowed mode since I started playing. Which is fine on my 60 hertz monitor which can only display 30fps at best. So I'm not sure where your going at this.

I like this stats page btw. Makes me out to be way better then I am. Whats it based off of? Score?

Played a few games in Commander mode the other night, was surprising enjoyable. It's quite handy for racking up the kills to improve the K/D ratio if you are into that. Playing on Obliteration definitely makes that easier; I scored a few multi-kills with missile strikes on the bombs site. It could do with some other options for the Commander, like an option to deploy smoke on the battlefield or something similar.

I thought commander mode was a bit of a gimmick, but the other day I was playing in a squad the other day and we were all on chat, we werent doing so well, one of the guys decided to be commander and the difference it made to our team was amazing. Totally turned the game around as he was communicating exactly what was happening and told us where to go and what to do. We were at one of the flags for example when he told us that there were 2 choppers en route to us, he dropped an ammo crate, we all changed to engineer , took out the heli's then changed back etc. When we were going to another flag, he would run scans so we could see what was there etc etc. It can be very useful if used correctly.

Hardcore is generally for people who don't have good enough aim to kill people in normal mode. :D

I mean the mode without having 3D spotting, auto health regen etc, you know, all the gay options turned on.

    This guy is some clown.

Hardcore = camp, snipe = kill. Really for skilled players, dont even need a headshot. Snooze.

TLDR version; this guy can't aim on console... Aw bless the console noob.

Now anyone want to chat about BF4 and ignore this clown?

Commander mode effect K/D? Ah jesus, another stat ruined by interference.

    That is plain stupid BTW

How charged up does the defib need to be for a kill?
Can it kill someone at 100% health or do I need to soften them up with a silenced gun? :D

It can kill from 100% but takes a few seconds to charge completely.

Took me ages figuring out it had to be charged :(

I was the easiest kill ever on my failed attempts :(

Also, when you're standing behind an unaware enemy about to try it, don't mix up the keys and throw out a medpack instead, as that didn't end well when I did it.

Killing with the defibrillator is hilarious, I much prefer using it as a weapon in this game than in 3! :D

I've done it twice so far, once to get the assignment and once as I was about to revive someone until I seen the enemy crouched behind something. Lol'd very hard both times I got the kills, its nearly more satisfying that knifing someone.

Does the MAV have a bullet now? It seems to have something that can be fired I've noticed.
Also, what the jebus is the UCAV? Wondering if its worth the effort of trying to get 3 jet ribbons..
